CGC University Mohali Signs Strategic MoU with Young Indians During Management Summit 2026
Mohali, May 21, 2026:-Taking another significant step towards strengthening industry-academia collaboration and enhancing students’ practical learning experiences, the School of Management Studies at CGC University Mohali signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Young Indians, a prominent initiative of the Confederation of Indian Industry. The agreement was signed during the university’s “Management Summit 2026” held on campus.
The MoU was formally signed by Prof. Uma P. Jaidev, Dean of the School of Management Studies, and Akshit Garg, Director of Core Metal Crafts Limited and Chairman of Young Indians (Chandigarh Chapter), in the presence of Dr. Harleen Kaur Dhillon, faculty members, students, and industry experts.
The primary objective of this collaboration is to provide students with opportunities that go beyond textbooks and classroom learning. Through the Young Indians platform, students will now gain exposure to leadership programmes, networking events, entrepreneurship initiatives, social impact activities, and skill development sessions. The partnership will also enable them to interact directly with experienced professionals from diverse industries.
The atmosphere during the MoU signing ceremony was highly enthusiastic, with students expressing excitement about the collaboration. They viewed it as a valuable opportunity to gain practical exposure, build professional networks, and develop the confidence required to excel in the corporate world.
Sharing his views on the occasion, Arsh Dhaliwal, Managing Director of CGC University Mohali, said that the management has always focused on the holistic development of students beyond academic education. He added that the university’s continued emphasis on innovation, experiential learning, and leadership development reflects this vision.
The School of Management Studies also expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, representatives of Young Indians, faculty members, and students for contributing to the success of the event. With this collaboration, CGC University Mohali has further reinforced its commitment to nurturing students not only for successful careers but also as confident future leaders and innovators.

Shemrock Senior Secondary School Organizes Grand Annual Investiture Ceremony

Mohali, May 19, 2026:-The Annual Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2026-27 was organized with great enthusiasm and grandeur at Shemrock Senior Secondary School, Sector 69, Mohali, to officially confer responsibilities upon the newly elected Student Council. The ceremony aimed to instill leadership qualities, discipline, responsibility, and the spirit of service among students.
The event was graced by Major General Ajay H. Chauhan (VSM) as the Chief Guest. He was accompanied by the school Chairman A.S. Bajwa, Managing Director Karan Bajwa, Principal Prarineet Sohi, coordinators, teachers, parents, and students. The programme commenced with the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by soulful renditions of “Vande Mataram” and the school hymn presented by the students.
During the ceremony, the Chief Guest and dignitaries honoured the newly elected council members by presenting them with badges and ceremonial sashes. The newly appointed Head Girl is Hargun Kaur (Class XII-E) and Head Boy is Ryan Gill (Class XII-M). The Sports Captains are Prathamnur Singh Dhami (Class XII-R) and Satkeerat Kaur (Class XII-E), while Navshaan Singh Mangat (Class X-S) and Kavya (Class X-S) were appointed as Sports Vice Captains.
Among the House appointments, Mridul Garg (Class XII-M) was named Captain of Oxford House, with Aditi Panchal (Class X-H) as Vice Captain and Shaurya Singh Rana (Class V-E) as Junior Vice Captain. For Cambridge House, Suhavi Mann (Class XII-S) was appointed Captain, Lakshay Jindal (Class X-S) Vice Captain, and Gurmukh Singh (Class V-E) Junior Vice Captain. Amit Raj (Class XII-R) became Captain of Harvard House, accompanied by Vice Captain Sondhu Popo Seth (Class X-S) and Junior Vice Captain Kryansh Chaudhary (Class V-S). Jashandeep Singh (Class XII-R) was appointed Captain of Stanford House, along with Vice Captain Devansh Sharma (Class X-S) and Junior Vice Captain Souhitya (Class V-E).
Members of the Student Editorial Board including Gurmannat Kaur (Class XII-E), Himanshu Jha (Class XII-R), Kirandeep Kaur Aidhan (Class XII-S), and Viraj Seth (Class XII-M) were also honoured with official badges.
The newly elected Student Council took the oath of office administered by the outgoing Head Girl, pledging to uphold the values, dignity, and traditions of the school. Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Major General Ajay H. Chauhan inspired students to embrace discipline, determination, patriotism, and true leadership qualities. Principal Prarineet Sohi and student leaders also delivered motivating speeches, adding further spirit to the occasion.
The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem, followed by refreshments and an interactive session with guests, making the day memorable for the entire Shemrock family.

Brookfield International School Students Shine in CBSE Class XII Results
In the Commerce stream, Jaskaran Singh topped the school with 94.4% marks. Jashandeep Kaur and Sahiba both secured 85% marks. Similarly, in the Humanities (Arts) stream, Swar Saini secured the top position with 93.4% marks. Anannya Vashisht scored 88.4%, Armandeep Singh secured 88.2%, while Manpreet Kaur achieved 87.6% marks.
Several students also excelled in individual subjects. Joginder Kaur scored a perfect 100 out of 100 in Artificial Intelligence. Trishpreet Singh secured 99 marks in Psychology. Jaskaran Singh obtained 99 marks in English and 96 marks in Business Studies. Manjot Kaur scored 98 marks in Physical Education.
School President Manav Singla congratulated the students, their parents, and teachers on this remarkable achievement. He stated that the school remains committed to the holistic development and academic excellence of its students.
