Chandigarh 30th June:- Standard Chartered Bank today unveiled its 'Touch ID' innovation on its mobile banking platform, 'SC Mobile'. This feature is designed to enhance the user experience of the Bank's customers as they have the option of using Touch ID as a replacement for having to type out their username and password to log onto the SC Mobile banking platform.
With this launch, the mobile banking customers of Standard Chartered Bank will be offered the chance to log in to their mobile banking application with a fingerprint verification system. As a part of the on-going martial arts film festival 'Chiniwood', the film will premiere on Friday, 1st July at 8 PM. Going by the mantra 'Bollywood se zyaada masala, Hollywood se zyaada action', Chiniwoodshowcases some of world's biggest martial arts action heroes like Tony Jaa, Jackie Chan and Jet Li amongst others fighting it out, only on &pictures.
Talking about the action sequences in the movie, Jackie Chan said that once during the shoot, he kicked a door and he got hurt. Two days later it was all red, and blood all over. Also when he slid down [the 120-foot silo] his butt touched the wall and the shoes, after two shots already had holes in them. These things, for him, are nothing. As long as he don't go to the hospital, it's nothing for him. Pain is my daily routine.
The movie revolves around Jimmy Tong(Jackie Chan), a fast paced cabbie who's asked to chauffeur a millionaire and an international spy Clark Devlin(Jason Issacs). An unsuccessful attempt is made to end Devlin's life and he winds up in the hospital. Tong decides to get to the bottom of this and puts on Devlin's prized tuxedo. He immediately has the power to do whatever he attempts as long as he's wearing the tuxedo. Aishwarya who will return to fiction shows on the small screen after a gap of almost two years will be essaying the role of a simple girl whose passion is boxing. The story which is titled Anju Ki Shaadi also stars Rajeev Mehta and Lubna Salim who play the role of Anju's worried parents who want to get their eldest daughter married. To prepare for the role Aishwarya watched movies like Million Dollar Baby and Mary Kom and observed people on the set to get the Gujarati accent right.
Aishwarya Sakhuja who will be seen as Anju said that she met the girl on whom the character Anju is based and she was very very happy with the way we had portrayed the character. She was happy that a story was being made on her. It was a great experience overall meeting her.

However, one day Amma summons all her family members and tells them that she wants to take a trip to Tirupati with the entire family, after which she will make her will. The whole family gets together for the sake of Amma's will and decide to fulfill her last wish. The family is taken by surprise when Amma puts forth one more condition that the family will travel by train. The family soon sets on a roller coaster ride of misadventures as they try their best to fulfill Amma's dream.

Chandigarh 30th June:- India's largest stock exchange National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE) in association with the market regulator SEBI, Citizen Awareness Group and Press Club - Chandigarh organized a Regional Investor Awareness Programme on "Financial Inclusion through Financial Education" at Chandigarh today. The program was conducted to educate people about benefits of financial markets and to make them aware about opportunities to grow their wealth.
The welcome address was delivered by Jaswant Singh Rana, President, Press Club. He said that SEBI has always taken the lead in spreading awareness about the market through such programs. The regulator will continue to take steps to ensure faster financial inclusion.
Amit Pradhan, Regional Director, SEBI delivered the keynote address and spoke about SEBI's role in ensuring fair trade and its role in monitoring the financial market. He also informed that the regulator is now playing a larger role as it started monitoring the commodity market as well.
Rana Usman, Sr. AVP, NSE was also present during the program. Referring to SEBI's publication, she informed that North India plays a critical role in India's capital market as states like Punjab, Haryana, among others, contribute heavily and NSE is witnessing healthy participations in new age products like ETF from these states in particular. AUM of ETF has surged to an all-time high recently, hovering around Rs 16000 cr. "Nifty based ETFs are witnessing a high participations as the benchmark index captures the India's growth story", she said. ETF's are low costs and well researched products. For instance, an investor can invest in the top 50 stocks traded on NSE, by buying just one unit of Nifty ETF, for just around Rs 600. The units are easy to buy and sell on an exchange platform. At the same time, risk is reduced, because you are investing in 50 stocks (of the Nifty index) and not in only one stock.
A technical session was also delivered by Suryakant Sharma, DGM, SEBI, NRO and Renu Bhandari, CM, NSE. Investors were advised on the steps they should take to ensure that their interests are protected. "Investors needed to execute few mandatory and voluntary documents with a member broker. They must read them and should know the 'do's and don'ts' of investing while entering the market", they said during the interaction.

It is a portrait of Chandramukhi who supposedly was a dancer at the king's darbar. Soon things start going wrong in this mansion and Sarath Babu attributes it to the portrait. People visiting the mansion complain of witnessing a huge snake and other paranormal activities.
The story revolves around how Sarath Babu along with a Siddhanti (an astrologer cum sage) and Dr. Vijay (Venkatesh), a psychiatrist resolve this issue.

Chandigarh 29th June:- AMRL SEZ is set to become the engine for industrial growth and socio-economic development in southern Tamil Nadu. The multi-product SEZ, financed by Srei and marketed by Attivo, a Srei initiative, is now ready to house a diverse set of industries, including electronics, general engineering, aerospace, auto and components, solar, renewable energy, food processing, and many more. The SEZ has the potential to generate direct employment in excess of 50,000 over the next decade making it one of India's largest industrial zones.
Spread over 2,518 acres in Nanguneri, Tirunelveli district, AMRL SEZ has created a sustainable and comprehensive industrial zone that offers a platter of choices for industry from land lease to ready-built-factories and warehousing facility. The Tamil Nadu government's Global Investors Meet in 2015 has successfully showcased the attractive growth prospects of the state and demonstrated the state government's commitment in maintaining its position as one of India's most preferred investment destinations. While the SEZ has been operational for some time, current initiatives have given a further impetus to the on ground development and the first phase of the SEZ, involving 1,250 acres, has been launched into the market; and offers investors an opportunity to actively participate in the Tamil Nadu growth story.
Commenting on the development, Indranil Dasgupta, CEO, Attivo Economic Zones, said that we expect the SEZ which can also offer an adjacent domestic tariff area (DTA) in the near future, to kick-start the industrialization of the region. Parashar Lohia, Director, Ashray Logistics, whose initial 100,000 square feet warehousing space is under construction in the SEZ said that we have plans to grow our logistics business in the SEZ by constructing 1,000,000 square feet warehousing space and develop a Logistics Park. With a proposed investment of Rs 100 crore over a period of 5 years in our warehousing and 3PL services, we expect to initially employ 100 skilled and semi-skilled people and then scale up as per requirement in a phased manner. As the import and export business depends on timely deliverables, our logistics services will support the SEZ units in timely deliveries and provide all logistic support. The enabling infrastructure in the SEZ and its strategic location near the highly efficient Tuticorin port will help us in keeping our commitments to our clients without any delays. The government is supportive and we look forward to the ease of doing our business at AMRL SEZ.
The estimated total turnover in the SEZ is about Rs 2,000 crore and direct employment of more than 10,000 people in the next 3-5 years. The off-take will speed up in the subsequent years.

Chandigarh 29th June:- A 60-yr old man has been treated successfully for a tumor measuring 5-cm in size at IVY Hospital by Dr Vineet Saggar, Senior Consultant Neuro & Spinal Surgery recently. Normally pituitary tumours are small of 1-2 cms size. Tumours larger than 2-cm are called 'Macro Adenomas'. But tumours achieving such humongous proportions are called 'Giant Macro Adenomas'. Such tumours encase vessels of brain and are challenging for skull base neurosurgeons. Thus surgery becomes even more difficult in recurrent cases.
Ironically, Kulwant Singh (name changed), the patient had operated for tumor removal 10-year back. But is has returned to haunt him and that too with a vengeance.
Dr Vineet Saggar informed that he was earlier operated for tumor in pituitary gland via Tran's cranial route. After that he was all right but for past few months he had become slow in his work. For past one week he has even stopped eating properly too. Hi MRI revealed that tumor had recurred and was even larger in size as compared to before. The 5-cm tumor was greatest of dimensions.
Dr Vineet Saggar added that Kulwant was operated via trans-nasal route and near total removal of tumour was achieved. He was discharged after 7-day of surgery in complete conscious state.

Tablets and Authentication Devices have been provided to all the Government Hospitals for Aadhaar registration of new born children along with Birth Registration Certification. On the first day, 26 Aadhaar and Birth Registrations have been done. Union Territory of Chandigarh has become the second State after Haryana to start Aadhaar Linked Birth Registration. Private Hospitals will be starting the Aadhaar Registrations on the same grounds shortly.

Chandigarh 29th June:- As a preparatory activity for control of Malaria and Dengue in the coming season the Malaria wing of Health Department, UT-Chandigarh today organized Health Awareness camp/ advocacy workshop at Vill. Khuda Ali Sher.
The awareness camp was attended by Dr. Inderpal Singh-Epidemiologist, Dr. Tanvi Behal (Medical Officer I/c civil dispensary Vill. Khuda Ali Sher), and staff from the Malaria wing, opinion leaders and general public from the area.
Dr. Inderpal Singh stressed on active community participation at all levels to prevent occurrence of mosquitogenic situation in the area. He outlined the preventive steps for this purpose and assured continuance of anti larval and anti adult measures for mosquitoes with full zeal in the season. He also urged all to maintain vigil over the water borne diseases in the area.
Various teams were constituted by the NVBDCP Staff for carrying following field activities. 09 slides were examined during the camp.

Chandigarh 28th June:- The good-looking actor Sartaj Gill, who is currently essaying the lead role of Rajbeer in Zee TV's immensely popular primetime show, EK Tha Raja Ek Thi, post a time leap of 12 years, is on a weight loss spree. The actor, who is undergoing a rigorous workout regimen and a strict diet plan, has shed almost 8kgs in less than two months to look better on screen and suit the young, college-going character well. Rajbeer's character in the show has a royal and classy look, for which he has to wear minimum three layers of clothing, which would make him look heavy on the camera. To ensure that the layered look does not add undue bulk to his appearance, the actor has been following heavy workout and diet regimen in order to lose weight since the time he's taken up the role of Rajbeer.
Sartaj Gill said that it is important for actors to stay lean as the camera adds more weight to your actual appearance. His character Rajbeer in the show has a royal look with heavy outfits and layers of clothing. The day he gave his nod for the role, he started working towards losing weight. In just 2 months He started getting results and shed those extra pounds. He is on a proper diet with a daily workout regimen. He has been working really hard to lose weight and stay fit. He carries home-cooked food and takes small and healthy meals at regular intervals. He totally avoids outside food and only survives on vegetables and fruits. Chandigarh 28th June:- It seems that the monsoons have not only brought us relief from the scorching heat, but also a lot of ailments. The latest victim of the "Monsoon fever" is the actress, Trishikha Ashish Tripathi A.K.A. Chuhiya of Chidiya Ghar.
Trishika Tripathi was down with a high fever when she had to shoot a Naagin dance sequence in the show. She was so weak that she had no energy to even stand properly. Still, within a few minutes, she completed her shoot and managed to perform the song of the movie 'Naagin', 'Tere Pyar Mein Nahi Todna'.
Commenting on the same, Trishikha said that she was down with high fever and it was really difficult for her to actually perform. But, with the extreme help of her team, She managed to complete the shoot. The entire unit supported and helped her out to complete it flawlessly. And as it is said, work should go on. She glad that she could complete the scene on time.
