Mohali, June 02, 2026:-The annual 'Investiture Ceremony' was organized with great enthusiasm, pride, and dignity at Gian Jyoti Global School, Phase-2, to bestow responsibilities and administer the oath of office to the newly elected members of the Student Council. The prestigious ceremony commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the school’s Founder Director Principal, Ranjeet Bedi.
To make the event impactful and memorable, students presented spectacular cultural performances that captivated the audience. Marching to the melodious tunes of the school band, students from all four houses marched past and saluted the chief guest. Their discipline and synchronization infused the atmosphere with patriotism and zeal. An inspiring skit showcasing the importance of responsibility and teamwork was performed, highlighting the youth's duties toward society. Additionally, the school's musical group performed a stirring patriotic song, awakening the spirit of leadership and optimism (Chardi Kala).
During the ceremony, the elected office-bearers were pinned with badges and adorned with sashes. For this academic session, Ryan Kuttan was appointed as 'Head Boy' and Angel Parmar as 'Head Girl'. In addition, the Sports Captain, Discipline Captain, Cultural Captain, along with the Captains and Vice-Captains of the school’s four major houses—Gobind, Gandhi, Krishna, and Mahavir—were handed over their respective responsibilities. All newly elected leaders took a solemn oath to discharge their duties with utmost honesty and dedication.
Guiding the students on this occasion, Founder Director Principal Ranjeet Bedi said that leadership does not mean merely commanding others, but setting an example for everyone through confidence, honesty, and responsibility. The young leaders elected today are the future guides of our nation. He is fully confident that they will uphold the ideals of the school.
At the conclusion of the event, Chairman J.S. Bedi congratulated all the elected students, their parents, and the teachers. The impressive ceremony concluded successfully with the singing of the National Anthem.
