Mohali, Oct.19, 2026:-Gian Jyoti Global School, Phase 2, Mohali, celebrated the auspicious festival of Dussehra with great enthusiasm, devotion and festive spirit. A special morning assembly was organised on the school premises to familiarise students with the cultural and spiritual significance of the festival and inspire them to follow the path of truth, righteousness and goodness.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome and an introduction to the occasion. A special speech highlighted the significance of Dussehra, explaining that the festival symbolises the victory of good over evil and conveys the message that truth and righteousness ultimately triumph.
The highlight of the celebration was an engaging presentation of the Ramayana and Ram Leela by the students. Through their performances, they brought to life important episodes from the epic. The presentation conveyed valuable lessons about courage, devotion, obedience, respect for elders and the importance of standing up for what is right. A self-composed poem on Dussehra added a creative touch to the programme and reflected the festive spirit.
The special assembly provided students with an opportunity to appreciate India's rich cultural heritage and imbibe the timeless values reflected in the life of Lord Shri Ram.
At the conclusion of the programme, the school Principal, Mrs. Gian Jyot, delivered an inspiring message, encouraging students to embrace good values, practise honesty and kindness, and stay away from negative thoughts and actions. She emphasised that true victory lies in overcoming one's inner evils and becoming a good human being.
The celebration proved to be a wonderful blend of learning, creativity and cultural awareness. It strengthened students' understanding of moral values, good conduct and their responsibilities towards society.
