GJIMT Cadet Secures Silver Medal at National-Level Shooting championship

Mohali, June 23, 2026:-NCC Cadet Sahil Choudhary, representing the Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology (GJIMT), has brought laurels to his institution by securing the Silver Medal in the Open Prone category at the prestigious Inter Group Shooting Competition Camp (IGSSC) 2026. The championship was organized by the NCC Directorate of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Chandigarh (PHHP&C). The competition, which drew elite marksmen from eight different NCC groups across the region, tested the participants on precision, mental focus, and technical mastery of the rifle. Cadet Choudhary’s second-place finish is a significant achievement, highlighting his ability to remain composed under high-pressure competitive conditions.
Beyond natural talent, Cadet Choudhary’s achievement was the result of a rigorous preparation phase at GJIMT. His training regimen included extensive hours mastering breath control and trigger discipline in the prone position. Specialized focus drills designed to maintain calm in high-stakes, noisy shooting environments.
