Chandigarh 31st May:- Bharti Airtel ("Airtel"), India's largest telecommunications services provider, today launched its Platinum 3G services for customers in Punjab. Airtel Platinum 3G, which is being offered on the efficient 900MHz spectrum band, offers a superior mobile experience to customers through faster mobile data speeds, significantly enhanced indoor data coverage and better voice clarity.
Commenting on the launch of Platinum 3G services in Punjab, Manu Sood, Hub CEO – Upper North, Bharti Airtel said that we are delighted to launch Platinum 3G in all 149 towns across Punjab that will redefine mobile experience for our customers. This launch is part of Project Leap, Airtel's nationwide network transformation initiative and underlines our commitment to our customers. We will continue to invest in network augmentation across Punjab to deliver best-in-class mobile services to our customers.
He added that Airtel Platinum 3G is available in all 149 census towns across Punjab circle. With the combination of Airtel 4G and Platinum 3G, the Company has the largest and widest high speed internet network deployment in the state that offers its customers unparalleled mobile broadband coverage.
Airtel's Platinum 3G network will also help further optimize the backend engagement between the network and mobile devices, thus allowing customers to enjoy extended battery life on their phones.
