Chandigarh 27th January:- A delegation led by Deepakbaba Hande, Chairman, works committee alongwith delegation of 28 members of various committees from Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai, met with the Mayor Smt. Poonam Sharma, Municipal Commissioner V P Singh, & Mrs. Gurbax Rawat, Deputy Mayor, MC, Chandigarh. Mayor welcomed the delegation at committee room, here today afternoon and the Commissioner gave brief introduction regarding various projects & functions of the Corporation, Roads, water supply, gardens & Green Belts, urban planning and architecture etc. Others who were present on the occasion were among Rajiv Gupta, Joint Commissioner, Mukesh Anand, Chief Engineer and other officers of Municipal Corporation Chandigarh.
Dr. Ram Barot said that the study tour also aims to study the best practices of Municipal Corporation like infrastructure development, planning, Roads, Sanitation and maintenance of Green spaces etc. The delegation also visited Japanese Garden, various other gardens and sukhna lake etc.
