Mata Sahib Kaur Public School Celebrate Teej Festival

Chandigarh 30th July:- To promote rich cultural heritage of north india, Mata Sahib Kaur Public School celebrated Monsoon Festival Teej with great fervour and enthusiasm. The school was decorated with flowers, balloons, ribbons and posters.  The corridors were decorated with various works of art by students.  Fancy dress and group song competition was organised at the moment. Young enthusiastic children beaming with joy and were looking confident to win the competition. The celebrations also included ride on swings, games and mehendi applying on their hands. Cultural show added life to the colourful atmosphere. Even the menu of day included monsoon special pakoras, puris, and kheer etc.

While speaking at the moment, Principal Ranjit Kaur lauded the efforts of the staff and  students for participating with zeal and zest on this  eve, which has  socio- economic importance and stressed on the need to remain in touch with culture of Punjab and preserve it. She apprised students for making it memorable moment as well as importance of rain for crops and nature was also told to the students .She also urged the students to give special care to the cleanliness of our surrounding during monsoon.
