NATIONAL & INTERNATIONAL EXPERTS DISCUSS TRENDS IN ANIMATION INDUSTRY

Chandigarh 19th August:-- Arena Animation, launched 'Perspectives', a series of seminars on Animation across India. The first seminar was organized today at Punjab Kala Bhawan, Chandigarh. Krishna Mohan, Creative Supervisor of Upcoming 3D Movie of Chhota Bheem- Kung Fu Dhamaka, for the seminar.

 

Almost 250 students of Arena Animation were explained how an animation project is put together in a very interactive manner by Krishna Mohan. The mega blockbuster, 'Chhota Bheem and The throne of Bali' was showcased for them and this was followed by a question and answer round discussing the techniques used to make the film. Krishna Mohan told the media that in the West a good animation project takes 6 years to fruition. While about 4 years are taken for research two years are taken for production. In India this is much shorter.  

 

While interacting with Media Krishna Mohan said that he is Graduate of Fine Arts, with over 14 years of experience in the Animation industry, has worked on several National & International projects. Krishna Mohan started his career as a 2D Animator, he currently is working as Creative Supervisor of a prestigious animation project – a 3D movie "Chhota Bheem - Kung Fu Dhamaka". Krishna Mohan shared his views on Animation Industry at a media interaction held on the sidelines of 'Perspectives.' He informed that the new movie of the iconic character Chhota Bheem – Chhota Bheem Kung Fu Dhamaka will be released in 2015 and it will be the first 3 D Chhota Bheem movie.

 
The growing opportunities for young Animation experts were also discussed. Amartya Ray and Preetam Saikia both from Middlesex University, gave an overview on the Global scenario of Animation & Multimedia education. The University announced that one student from Arena Animation will be given 100 % scholarship while 5 will be given 50 per cent scholarship when they come to Middlesex University to complete the final year of 'Arena Animation International Program (AAIP)' and this way they will acquire a dual degree on completion of the course. All other students will be given a discount of 2000 Pounds on the 10400 Pounds course fee. \Manish Mathur, Head (North), Arena Animation also participated in the session. He said that the Global Media & Entertainment Industry is worth whopping Rs. 731 Billion and the Visual effects & Animation Industry accounts for Rs. 31 Billion
