Chandigarh, Dec.27, 2024:-चंडीगढ़ प्रदेश कांग्रेस ने आज पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री डॉ. मनमोहन सिंह को एक प्रतिष्ठित राष्ट्रभक्त, अर्थशास्त्री और राजनेता के रूप में, जिन्होंने विभिन्न क्षमताओं में देश की अतुलनीय सेवा की, को याद करते हुए अश्रुपूर्ण एवं  भावभीनी पुष्पांजलि अर्पित की। आज देर शाम कांग्रेस भवन में आयोजित एक शोक सभा में चण्डीगढ़ कांग्रेस ने एक सुर में भारत सरकार से रिजर्व बैंक के गवर्नर, वित्त मंत्री और भारत के प्रधानमंत्री के रूप में उनकी उल्लेखनीय सेवाओं के लिए डा• मनमोहन सिंह को भारत रत्न से सम्मानित करने का आग्रह किया। पार्टी  नेताओं ने कहा कि यह सम्मान इस महान नेता के लिए एक उचित श्रद्धांजलि होगी जो आधुनिक भारत में अपनाई गई उदार आर्थिक नीतियों और राष्ट्र की विकास गाथा के वास्तुकार थे। 

डॉ. सिंह को एक उत्कृष्ट अर्थशास्त्री के रूप में याद करते हुए, जिनके दूरदर्शी और बौद्धिक नेतृत्व ने भारत की अर्थव्यवस्था को बदलने और राष्ट्र को अभूतपूर्व विकास की ओर अग्रसर करने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई, चंडीगढ़ कांग्रेस के अध्यक्ष एच.एस. लक्की ने कहा कि भारत के वित्त मंत्री के रूप में डॉ. सिंह ने आर्थिक उदारीकरण की शुरुआत की जिसने देश के एक प्रमुख आर्थिक शक्ति के रूप में उभरने की नींव रखी। लक्की ने आगे कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री के रूप में डॉ. सिंह का कार्यकाल महत्वपूर्ण उपलब्धियों से भरा रहा, जिसमें परमाणु क्लब देशों के साथ परमाणु समझौता भी शामिल है, जिसने भारत की वैश्विक स्थिति को मान सम्मान दिलाया। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री के रूप में उन्होंने कांग्रेस पार्टी के घोषणापत्रों को अक्षरशः लागू किया, जब उनकी सरकार ने देश में अधिकार आधारित कानून लागू किए। सूचना के अधिकार का चुनौतीपूर्ण अधिनियम 2005, जो उनकी सरकार ने पारित किया गया, एक और ऐतिहासिक कानून था, जिसने सार्वजनिक जीवन में भ्रष्टाचार पर गहरा आघात किया। लक्की ने आगे कहा कि देश सेवा, व्यक्तिगत ईमानदारी और देशवासियों को प्रगति के पथ पर ले जाने की उनकी अटूट प्रतिबद्धता ने उन्हें घरेलू और अंतरराष्ट्रीय नेता के रूप में मान्यता दिलाई।

इस अवसर पर उपस्थित कांग्रेस नेताओं ने चंडीगढ़ के साथ डॉ. सिंह के लंबे जुड़ाव को याद किया।  उन्होंने पंजाब विश्वविद्यालय में प्रोफेसर के रूप में काम किया और शहर के सेक्टर 11-बी उनका एक घर भी था, जिसमें प्रधानमन्त्री बनने से पहले वह कभी कभार आते थे। कांग्रेस नेताओं ने कहा कि उनकी जीवन यात्रा आने वाले कई दशकों तक भावी पीढ़ियों को प्रेरित करती रहेगी।

Nandini and Shivangi Selected for Senior Women's ODI Challengers Trophy

Chandigarh, Dec.27, 2024:--Two players from UTCA Chandigarh have been selected for the Senior Women's ODI Challengers Trophy commencing from Chennai from January 5. Nandini Sharma will represent Team B while Shivangi Yadav is assigned with Team D. In a correspondence from by BCCI to UTCA, it has been stated that players who have performed well in the recent domestic matches have been selected for the five teams. The final of the tournament will be held on January 15. Nandini Sharma has already represented Team E in the T20 Challengers Trophy. Bowler Nandini has taken 11 wickets in five matches while wicketkeeper batter Shivangi Yadav has dismissed 13 players behind the stumps in the current domestic season and  scored 146 runs in five matches.

Chandigarh, Dec.27, 2024:-भारतीय संगीत एवं कला को पूर्ण रूप से समर्पित देश की अग्रणी सांस्कृतिक संस्था प्राचीन कला केन्द्र शरद ऋतु के आगमन पर संगीत की गरमाहट लाने हेतु तीन दिवसीय   हेमंत उत्सव  का आयोजन करने जा रहा है । इस कार्यक्रम का आयोजन केन्द्र के एम.एल.कौसर सभागार में किया जा रहा है। मुंबई की जानी मानी युवा  शास्त्रीय गायिका अंकिता जोशी  ने   हेमंत उत्सव   के पहले दिन एक सुरमई शाम को संजोया ।

इस अवसर पर केंद्र ने अपनी पूर्व एडिशनल रजिस्ट्रार श्रीमती एस नाइक को विनम्र श्रद्धांजलि दी, जिनका कल निधन हो गया था । उनके अद्वितीय योगदान और अथक प्रयासों और समर्पण को केंद्र के उद्देश्यों की पूर्ति के लिए   प्राचीन कला केंद्र द्वारा हमेशा याद किया जाएगा।

 अंकिता एक संगीतमयी परिवार से ताल्लुक रखती है ।  एक दमदार आवाज और रचनात्मक आत्मविश्वास  से भरी अंकिता ने  6 साल की उम्र में ही प्रदर्शन करना शुरू कर दिया था। इस प्रतिभाशाली कलाकार को 5 साल की उम्र से ही उसके चाचा (मामा) श्री लक्ष्मीकांत रावंडे ने संगीत की शिक्षा देनी शुरु कर दी  थी। अंकिता को 10 साल की उम्र में पुणे में सवाई गंधर्व संगीत समारोह के ग्रीन रूम में महान गायक संगीत मार्तंड पंडित जसराज जी से मिलने का मौका मिला।  बचपन से ही वह हमेशा पंडित जसराज जी की प्रशंसक रही हैं और अपने तरीके से उनके संगीत के भावों का अनुसरण करती रही हैं। ग्रीन रूम में उनके राग बिहाग को सुनने के बाद पंडित जसराज ने उन्हें एक शिष्य के रूप में स्वीकार किया और उनसे मार्गदर्शन के लिए मुंबई आने को कहा, इस तरह संगीत के मार्ग पर उनकी आगे की यात्रा शुरू हुई।

अंकिता  ने अपने कार्यक्रम की शुरूआत राग पुरिया धनाश्री  से की । जिसमें विलम्बित एक ताल  में निबद्ध रचना ढूंढ़ने जाऊं  प्रस्तुत की । इसके पश्चात एक खूबसूरत बोलों से सजी रचना जोकि द्रुत एक ताल में निबद्ध थी,जिसके बोल थे अलबेली घूँघट खोलो , जिसे दर्शकों ने खूब सराहा । अंकिता  ने अगली पेशकश में एक ताल में निबद्ध रचना " मारी रे श्यामा"  पेश करके खूबसूरत समां बांधा।

सीफेरर्स को अपनी समस्याओं और अधिकारों को सरकार के समक्ष रखने में होगी आसानी: डा. डैनियल जोसेफ

Chandigarh, Dec.27, 2024:--भारतीय नौवहन महानिदेशालय (डीजी-शिपिंग) के नौवहन उप महानिदेशक कैप्टन डा. डैनियल जोसेफ ने मर्चेंट नेवी के नाविकों के अधिकारों की रक्षा का भरोसा दिलाया है। शुक्रवार को चंडीगढ़ के टैगोर थियेटर के सभागार में 'सीफेरर्स-अधिकार और रोजगार' विषय पर आयोजित कार्यक्रम में बतौर ममुख्य अतिथि पहुंचे डा. जोसेफ ने कहा कि अब पंजाब, हरियाणा और हिमाचल प्रदेश के सीफेरर्स (नाविकों) को अपनी समस्याओं और अधिकारों को सरकार के समक्ष रखने में आसानी होगी। इस दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम के रूप में कैप्टन संजय पराशर के नेतृत्व में चंडीगढ़ में एक महत्वपूर्ण पहल की गई है, जिसके निकट भविष्य में सकारात्मक परिणाम देखने को मिलेंगेञ इस कार्यक्रम में में नाविकों ने खुले मंच पर अपनी समस्याओं को उठाया।

कैप्टन डा. डैनियल जोसेफ ने कार्यक्रम के दौरान उपस्थित नाविकों से बातचीत करते हुए कहा कि भारतीय मर्चेंट नेवी के नाविकों के अधिकारों की रक्षा करना डीजी शिपिंग की प्राथमिकता है। उन्हें ज्ञात हुआ था कि पंजाब और साथ लगते राज्यों के नाविकों को अपनी बात या समस्या रखने के लिए मुंबई या दिल्ली के कार्यालयों पर निर्भर रहना पड़ता है। यह प्रक्रिया भी बेहद लंबी है। जबकि आनलाइन प्रक्रिया से कई नाविकों को पर्याप्त जानकारी नहीं होती है, ऐसे में कई बार वे अपने अधिकारों से वंचित रह जाते हैं। कहा कि सरकार नाविकों की समस्याओं को गंभीरता से सुनने और उनका समाधान करने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है। अब नाविकों को अपनी परेशानियों को प्रभावी तरीके से सामने लाने का अवसर मिलेगा, इसके लिए संजय पराशर ने गहनता सके कार्य किया है। पराशर पिछले अढ़ाई दशक से समुद्री नाविकों के हितों के लिए काम कर रहे हैं और कई अवसरों पर नाविकों को जोखिम से बाहर निकालने और जहां तक की उनकी जान बचाने में भी पराशर ने मदद की है। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि वह अपने स्तर पर इस दिशा में सभी जरूरी कदम उठाएंगे ताकि सीफेरर्स की स्थिति में सुधार हो सके और उन्हें उचित सम्मान मिल सके।

नौवहन महानिदेशालय का सक्रिय सहयोग कैप्टन जोसेफ ने यह भी कहा कि भारतीय नौवहन महानिदेशालय ने नाविकों के मामलों को गंभीरता से लिया है और उनकी समस्याओं के समाधान के लिए सरकार के विभिन्न विभागों के साथ समन्वय स्थापित किया जा रहा है। उन्होंने इस बात का भरोसा भी दिलाया कि आने वाले दिनों में नाविकों के लिए बेहतर नीतियां और कार्यक्रम विकसित किए जाएंगे ताकि उनके कार्य और जीवन की गुणवत्ता में सुधार हो सके।

नाविकों ने साझा की अपनी समस्याएं-

इस कार्यक्रम में भाग लेने वाले उत्तर भारत के विभिन्न क्षेत्रों के नाविकों ने अपनी परेशानियों को साझा किया। उन्होंने बताया कि कई बार उनके साथ अनुचित व्यवहार होता है। जबकि पंजाब और पड़ोसी राज्यों में एजेंटगिरी भी एक बड़ी समस्या है, जिससे विशेष रूप से ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों के युवा मर्चेंट नेवी की नौकरी की एवज में ठगे जाते हैं। नाविकों ने जोर देकर कहा कि इस क्षेत्र में डीजी शिपिंग के नियमों को धत्ता बताकर कुछ फर्जी कंपनियां युवाओं के सपनों से खेल रही हैं और उनके मां-बाप के जीवन की गाढ़ी कमाई भी ऐसे लोग लूट रहे हैं। इस पर तत्काल प्रभाव से कठोर अंकुश व इन कंपनियों के खिलाफ सख्त कार्रवाई करने की आवश्यकता है। नाविकों ने कहा कि  उनकी समस्याओं के समाधान के लिए एक मजबूत मंच की आवश्यकता है, जहां वे सीधे अपने मुद्दों को सरकार के सामने रख सकें।

नाविकों ने बेहतर कार्य स्थितियां, समुद्र पर काम करते समय सुरक्षा उपायों में सुधार और लंबी अवधि के लिए स्वास्थ सुविधाओं का विस्तार करने की मांग की। साथ ही उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि उन्हें अधिक प्रशिक्षण और विकास के अवसर मिलने चाहिए ताकि वे अपनी पेशेवर क्षमताओं को और बेहतर बना सकें।

कैप्टन संजय पराशर की पहल: -

कार्यक्रम का आयोजन कैप्टन संजय पराशर के नेतृत्व में हुआ, जिन्होंने मर्चेंट नेवी के नाविकों के अधिकारों और रोजगार के मुद्दों पर लगातार काम किया है। कैप्टन पराशर ने कहा कि यह कार्यक्रम सीफेरर्स के लिए एक प्लेटफॉर्म प्रदान करता है, जहां वे अपने अधिकारों को प्रभावी तरीके से उठा सकते हैं। उनके अनुसार यह पहल एक नई शुरुआत है जो नाविकों के हित में सकारात्मक बदलाव लाने में मदद करेगी। इस कार्यक्रम ने मर्चेंट नेवी के नाविकों के लिए एक सकारात्मक संदेश दिया कि उनके अधिकारों की रक्षा की जाएगी और उनकी समस्याओं का समाधान जल्द ही निकाला जाएगा। कैप्टन डा. डैनियल जोसेफ और कैप्टन संजय पराशर की पहल से नाविकों को उम्मीद है कि अब उनकी समस्याओं का समाधान सरकार की प्राथमिकता बनेगा और उनके लिए बेहतर कार्य और जीवन स्थितियाँ सुनिश्चित की जाएंगी।

JRS Group Aims to Strengthen the Govt’s Scheme by Providing Employment to Former Agniveers

Chandigarh, Dec.27, 2024:-The JRS Eastman Group, a Ludhiana-based conglomerate has announced a pilot initiative to expand its environmental and social responsibility endeavour in Punjab. While addressing a press conference at Chandigarh Press Club, Group's Chairman Jagdish Rai Singal shared plans to rejuvenate urban wastelands using the Miyawaki forest method, a concept inspired by PM Narendra Modi's address on "Mann Ki Baat" in June 2023. The initiative aims to transform a 5500 yards of wasteland into a thriving green forest, followed by the development of an additional two acres in association with Ludhiana Municipal Corporation (LMC). A total of Rs two crores are being spent in two phases for this transformation. The group had  also approached the LMC to rehabilitate abandoned parks using the Miyawaki method. This project aligns with the group's broader commitment to sustainability and carbon neutrality, showcasing its dedication to enhancing environmental health and creating a greener future.

In addition to its environmental endeavors, the Group has planned to provide employment opportunities to retired Agniveers under the Govt's Agniveer scheme. This program, launched in June 2022, recruits young individuals for short-term service in the armed forces. While 25% of these recruits are absorbed into the defence line, the remaining individuals face the challenge of reintegration into civilian life. Responding to PM Modi's call for industries to support retired Agniveers, the group has decided to reserve five percent of its future recruitment for them, with a goal to employ 250 Agniveers in the near future. Singal emphasized that Agniveers' discipline and training would be valuable assets for the company, which currently employs 5,145 workers and aims to reach 10,000 employees by 2029.

Singal urged other industrialists and citizens to contribute to these efforts, stressing the importance of collaborative solutions to societal and environmental challenges. He highlighted the need for private initiatives to complement government programs, stating that the responsibility of creating a sustainable and inclusive future lies with all stakeholders. Singal expressed pride in his company's dual focus on environmental restoration and social welfare, viewing it as a meaningful way to give back to the nation and future generations. The announcement reaffirms the group's commitment to creating positive change while setting a benchmark for corporate social responsibility in India.

Skipper Manan’s Ton Powered UT Boys to Win against Mizoram by Six Wickets

Chandigarh, Dec.26, 2024:-UT boys registered their first win at the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy match being played in Vizianagaram (Andhra Pradesh) by defeating Mizoram by six wickets. Centurion and skipper Manan Vohra aptly supported by Ankit Kaushik rescued the team to chase down the challenge of 170.   

Earlier, Chandigarh won the toss and invited the opposition team to bat first. Mizo batters had a tough time against the UT bowlers and collapsed at 169 in 36 overs. However, the team struggling at 89/7 got a strength from tail-ender KC Cariappa who smashed 41 runs off 14 balls with  six massive sixes and took the team to a respectable score. For Chandigarh, Nishunk Birla (3/40) was pick of the bowlers while Abhishek Saini and Jagjit Singh took two wickets each.

In reply, Chandigarh had the worst start of the season as well as tournament so far when the top order - Arsalan Khan, Shivam Bhambri, Tushar Joshi and Hardik Chaudhary returned without troubling the scorer. Reeling at 13/4, skipper Manan Vohra and Ankit Kaushik took the  charge and paired for an unbeaten partnership of 160 runs to team home in the 32nd over. Manan scored 101 runs with the help of 13 boundaries and three sixes while Ankit scored 58 runs studded with seven fours.

Chandigarh's first match against Tamil Nadu was abandoned due to rain while team lost its second match against Chhattisgarh. Chandigarh's fourth match will be against Vidarbha on December 28.

GJIMT Celebrates Merry Christmas with its International Students

Mohali, Dec.27, 2024:-Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology phase-2, celebrated Merry Christmas with its international Students. The festive spirit witnessed among the students and teachers. Students of the GJIMT celebrated  Christmas by exhibiting their talent through songs and dance performances .  The students spread cheer with their smiles and lovely attires. Celebrations started with Cake Cutting Ceremony and later, students played several games, they danced and enjoyed the celebrations.

 

After that Santa entered in the campus carried bags full of goodies and distributed candies and gifts to the students. Students were also informed about the reason of celebrating  Christmas  and ornaments that are hanged on a Christmas tree like, the shining stars, the silver bell, the red and white candy, the candle etc.

 

Dr. Aneet Bedi, Director, GJIMT expressed his delight in seeing such enthusiasm in the Students who brought the spirit of Christmas to life. Chairman Bedi said celebration brings happiness to self and others including the families. He further said students are my family and I always enjoy in their company.

चार साहिबजादों की शहादत को याद करते हुए सेक्टर 27 सी मार्किट में लगाया लँगर

Chandigarh, Dec.27, 2024:-दसवीं पातशाही श्री गुरु गोबिंद सिंह जी के चार साहिबजादों की शहादत को समर्पित लँगर का आयोजन सेक्टर 27 सी मार्किट के सामने किया गया। मार्किट वेलफेयर एसोसिएशन सेक्टर 27 सी की ओर से आयोजित इस लँगर  सेवा को गुरुद्वारा नानकसर साहिब सेक्टर 28 के गद्दीनशीन बाबा गुरदेव सिंह जी के आशीर्वाद के साथ शुरू किया गया। साथ ही साहिबजादों की शहादत को याद करते हुए उन्हें नमन किया गया और सरबत के भले के लिए अरदास की गई। इस उपरांत लँगर सेवा शुरू की गई। कॉफ़ी, ब्रेड पकोड़े, मिक्स पकोड़े, सूप और ब्रेड जैम का लँगर लोगों में बांटा गया।

 इसअवसर पर मार्किट वेलफेयर एसोसिएशन के पदाधिकारियों हरप्रीत सिंह, कुलविंदर सिंह, इंदरजीत सिंह, राजन उर्फ ​​बॉबी, गुरदेव सिंह रोजी, हरनेक सिंह, भगत राम, गोलू भाई, देवांश, बलविंदर सिंह, हरिओम बिट्टू और  जगबीर सिंह सहित अन्य ने लँगर सेवा में योगदान दिया।
