Chandigarh, May 02, 2026:-In a proud moment for the Union Territory Cricket Association (UTCA) Nandini Sharma has been selected in the India Women’s squad for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026, scheduled to be held in England in June 2026.

Nandini’s selection to the national squad comes on the back of her impressive domestic performances and recent exposure at the international pathway level. Earlier this year, she was named in the India A squad for the ACC Rising Star Women’s Asia Cup 2026, where she showcased her potential against strong international competition.

She had been the part of BCCI-organised tournaments at the U-19, U-23 and Senior levels for both Punjab and UTCA. Nandini has further strengthened her credentials through notable performances in premier domestic competitions, including the Senior Women’s Inter-Zonal tournaments, Women’s T20 Challenger Trophy, and Senior Women’s One-Day Challenger Trophy. Her association with the Delhi Capitals Women in the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 has also contributed significantly to her development at the highest level. She was one of the successful bowlers in the league claiming 14 wickets.

Expressing his delight, UTCA President Saransh Tandon said that Nandini has earned this national selection through her hard work, discipline and consistent performances. UTCA is extremely proud of her achievement, and we are confident she will make the country proud on the world stage.
