Mohali, April 22, 2026:-Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology, Phase 2, organized a vibrant turban-tying competition titled “Pag Mein Pride” to highlight the significance of the turban and the richness of Punjabi culture. The main objective of the event was to connect the younger generation with their rich heritage, where the turban symbolizes not just attire but pride, honor, and identity. Students from various courses participated enthusiastically in the competition. They displayed their creativity and traditional flair by tying turbans in different styles. Winners were selected based on neatness, style, and overall presentation.
In the results, Pawandeep Singh (BCA 1st year) won the Most Creative Style Award, Aseesdeep Singh (BCA 1st year) received the Best Technique Award, Avneet Singh (BCA 1st year) was honored with the Royal Look Award, while Karamjeet Singh (BCA 3rd year) was declared People’s Favorite. Ekamjot Singh (MBA 1st year) won the title of Swag Wale Sardar, and Harshpreet Singh (BCA 3rd year) received the Dil Jeet Liya Award.
Addressing the gathering, Director Dr. Anit Bedi said that organizing festivals like Baisakhi and such cultural events in educational institutions instills a sense of pride among students towards their heritage. He added that such initiatives help connect youth with their roots and strengthen cultural values.
