Chandigarh, Jan.17, 2025:-Bharatiya Janata Party's vice president and former councillor Shakti Prakash Devshali, accusing Aam Aadmi Party and Congress of ruining the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation, said that the misgovernance of this unethical alliance has halted the city's development.
In a press release, Devshali said that due to the wrong policies of this alliance, on one hand the people of the city are troubled by broken roads, non-functioning street lights and heaps of garbage at various places, while on the other hand the Municipal Corporation is facing a serious financial crisis. The situation has reached such a point that there is no money left to pay salaries to the employees of the corporation. There are even reports that Chandigarh Municipal Corporation is preparing to take a loan to pay salaries. The financial structure of the Municipal Corporation has collapsed within the one year tenure of the Aam Aadmi Party and Congress alliance.
Devshali said it seems that the Mayor and other leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party and Congress alliance, instead of worrying about the welfare of the city residents and the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation, were busy in serving their own interests and those of their own people, and as a result the Municipal Corporation has become bankrupt.
Devshali said that the kind of alliance the Aam Aadmi Party and Congress leaders, who pretended to curse each other in the neighboring states of Punjab and Delhi, have made for gaining power in Chandigarh, has not only bankrupted the Chandigarh Corporation but has also proved that both the parties are birds of the same feather.
