!Mohali, October 17, 2024:-- Students from Classes seventh & eight of Lawrence Public Senior Secondary School recently had the unique opportunity to visit two significant landmarks in Chandigarh—the Punjab Vidhan Sabha and the Bird Park. More than 400 students participated in the educational trip, which aimed to give them an insightful look into the functioning of the legislative assembly as well as an experience of nature and wildlife conservation.
The visit to the Punjab Vidhan Sabha provided the students with an understanding of the legislative process and governance in the state of Punjab. They observed the workings of the assembly, learned about its history, and saw how important decisions affecting the state are made.
The second half of the trip was to the Bird Park, where students got to enjoy a peaceful environment and see a wide variety of birds. This outing allowed them to appreciate the importance of conservation and the beauty of wildlife in a natural setting.
Principal Veena Malhotra expressed her pride in the students for their enthusiasm and engagement throughout the visit. She emphasized the value of such trips in providing practical learning experiences outside the classroom and hoped it would inspire the students to become responsible citizens.
