Chandigarh, Oct.08, 2024:-Despite Ehit Salaria's unbeaten knock of 112, Chandigarh faced a 44-run defeat at the ongoing Vinoo Mankad Trophy match played against Hyderabad at PCA Mullanpur on Tuesday. Hyderabad won the toss and decided to bat first. Unbeaten Sacheit (90) and Wafi Kachchhi (65) helped their team to pile up 293/5 runs in the stipulated fifty overs. In reply with a shaky start, UT boys could not make a comeback in the match till the end and were bundled out for 249. The unbeaten knock of Ehit Salaria which was studded with 14 boundaries and two sixes was the consolation for the losing side. Malik took four wickets.
UT Girls' third defeat in U19 T20
Chandigarh has suffered its third defeat in the Women's Under 19 T20 Cricket League match played at Gurugram Cricket Ground. Tamil Nadu convincingly thrashed Chandigarh by ten wickets in a one-sided affair in the fourth match of the tournament. Chandigarh decided to bat first and collapsed for mere 48 runs. Apart from Smayra Thakur (14) no player could touch double figures. In reply, unbeaten opener G Kamalini (40) helped Tamil Nadu to finish the match early in just fifth over.
