Chandigarh, Oct.14, 2024:-- A patient stay of Devang Kaushik (83) helps UT boys to fight back against Kerala on the second day of Col CK Nayudu Trophy match being played at Mahajan Cricket Ground, IT Park on Monday. In Kerala's mammoth of 384, Chandigarh marked the day with 245/5.
Earlier, Visitors were bundled out for 384 adding another 59 runs to their overnight score of 325/7. Shaun Roger scored 165 runs with the help of 14 boundaries and four sixes while Asif Ali (74) smashed a half-century. Ivraj Ranauta (7/86) took seven wickets while Harshit (2/104) clinched two . In reply, Chandigarh off to a cautious start as opening pair added 92 runs Arnav Bansal (62) was first one go while following batters Dushyant (13), Gurtej Singh (14) and Captain Paras (15) couldn't impress with their blades. Later, An unbeaten 73 runs partnership between Nikhil and Devang deprived bowlers for the wicket as hosts put up 245/5 on the board before the stumps were drawn. Devang scored 83 runs off 191 balls studded with five boundaries and three beyond the fence while Nikhil contributed 49 runs off 45 balls with the help of two fours and four sixes.
