Dharampal Inaugurates the UT Cricket Association Office Rain Abandons the First Two Matches of UTCA T20 Domestic Cricket League

Chandigarh: Dharampal (IAS), Advisor to UT Administrator and Saurabh Arora (PCS), Director, Sports, UT Administration inaugurated the newly built UTCA office in the presence of Anoop Gupta, Mayor, Chandigarh Municipal Corporation and Sanjay Tandon, President, UTCA at Sector 16 Cricket Stadium on Friday. Sanjay Tandon said that the new office will give a new dimension to cricket in the city. He said that this season UTCA is going to host 66 matches of the BCCI in the ongoing season for which they are very excited. He expected untiring cooperation from the UT administration for the continuous upliftment of cricket in the city.

 

After the inauguration of the office, the 17-day long UTCA T20 Domestic Cricket League kicked off by the invited guests. A total 90 cricketers from the men's senior and under 23 format are participating in six teams. The final match of the league will be played on August 20. The first two matches scheduled on day one were declared abandoned due to rain.
