Chandigarh July 09, 2021:- Vishvas Foundation organized two blood donation camps in Chandigarh to meet the shortage of blood in hospitals due to scorching heat and due to Corona epidemic. Canum Consultant Pvt Ltd, Traders Welfare Association Sector 22B and Indian Red Cross Society Punjab State Branch, Chandigarh supported these blood donation camps. 84 units of blood were collected in both the camps. Special care was taken in the camps for social distancing, masks and sanitization.
Sadhvi Neelima Biswas, General Secretary, Vishvas Foundation said that the first camp was organized in Mobile Market Sector 22B, Chandigarh. The camp was inaugurated by the Subhash Narang, President of the market. In the camp, 60 blood donors donated blood of their own free will. The team of Rotary and Blood Bank Society Resource Center Sector 37 Chandigarh collected blood under the supervision of Dr. Manish Rai. On this occasion Sadhvi Preeti Vishvas, Suman Jain, Rishi Saakar Vishvas, Neeraj Yadav were present from Vishvas Foundation.
The second camp was organized near Police Beat Box in Market Sector-17E Chandigarh. In this camp 24 units of blood were collected. The team of Blood Bank PGI Chandigarh collected blood under the supervision of Dr Nipun Parija. Rakesh Kumari from Indian Red Cross Society Punjab State Branch and from Vishvas Foundation Avinash Sharma, Varinder Gandhi, Vikas Kalia, Shatrughan Kumar, Vishal Kuwar and other dignitaries were also present on this occasion. All the blood donors who came to donate blood in the camps were encouraged by giving certificates of appreciation, masks, soaps, sanitizers and gifts.
