Chandigarh July 09, 2021:- Marking another milestone in the glorious journey of the illustrious institution- Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Dr. Punam Suri, Padma Shree Awardee, President, DAV College Managing Committee (DAV CMC), New Delhi inaugurated its Golden Jubilee Block, the foundation stone of which was unveiled in the Golden Jubilee Year by President of India Ram Nath Kovind. H. R. Gandhar, Vice President, DAV CMC, Dr. Shiv Raman Gaur, Director Higher Education, DAV CMC and Dr. Gurdip Sharma, Senior Senate and Syndicate Member, Panjab University graced this auspicious occasion, making it a memorable one. With the soulful chanting of mantras, Dr. Punam Suri inaugurated the Golden Jubilee Block.
Speaking on this occasion, Dr. Punam Suri expressed appreciation for the unprecedented role of MCM in empowering young women leaders of the future, imbibing in them a sense of responsibility of taking the nation forward. He further complimented MCM for having carved a niche for itself and wished the institution to achieve greater heights in the future.
Principal Dr. Nisha Bhargava expressed heartfelt gratitude to DAV CMC for its wholehearted support and asserted that the institution will continue treading the path shown by Swami Dayanand Saraswati Ji and Justice Mehr Chand Mahajan.
