At the onset Subhash Chawla who presided over the meeting set the agenda for the meeting thereafter speaking in the meeting Pawan Bansal criticized the central government for its failure to check the spread of the corona pandemic & said that the Bjp led central government lost precious time from October to March and instead of improving the health infrastructure of the country the prime minister & the home minister were busy holding rallies in election going states and themselves defying all Covid protocols. It is the lackluster approach of the central government which has led to the worsening of the pandemic in the county. The time when hospitals & oxygen plants needed to be set up  and important & export of life saving medicines and vaccine needed to be regulated was lost in fixing opposition in their respective states. Now also the central government is burdening the state governments and common people by exorbitant pricing of the vaccine which should be made available free of cost to every citizen of the country that is the least the government can do.

Subhash Chawla criticised the Chandigarh administration for its failure to take political parties of Chandigarh on board on the corona situation. He said that the administration seemed confused over the matter and passed contrary orders every other day making people more confused. He demanded that the administration should set up a website on which important information regarding availability of beds, oxygen, medicines etc should be put. Black marketing of the life savings medicines & injections by certain elements of the society shows the failure & hobnobbing of the Chandigarh administration which should be immediately checked & stringent criminal action should be taken against such persons & they be sent behind bars, he demanded. He also criticized the Chandigarh administration for its failure to vaccinate its total front line workers and health staff.

According to H S Lucky Chief spokesperson CTCC other senior leaders also gave their valuable suggestions & it was decided:

To hold a mass mask & soap distribution drive in the city on Sunday 25th April.

To organise free food delivery to corona patients and people in isolation, which has already been stated by some Congress leaders?

To set up a help desk at Congress bhawan sector 35 shortly to help the needy.

The Chandigarh administration should release a daily bulletin of availability of beds in various government and private hospitals in the city.

Meanwhile directions will be given to all block presidents & Congress leaders to help local residents in this time of distress.

The leaders further said it was due to the pressure of the general public that the administration was forced to change its decision of weekend lockdown. They also welcomed the offer of the Western command to set up a Covid treatment centre in Chandigarh and also praised the initiative taken by government medical hospital sector 32 in getting patients in touch with their families through tally conferencing. They also praised the efforts of the doctors, nurses, medical & paramedical staff for working day and night in this pandemic period.
