Water Tarrifs Hoke: Congress Will March towards BJP councilor Houses

Chandigarh Feb.26, 2021:-A press conference was held today by chandigarh Territorial Congress Committee addressed by Subhash chawla president CTCC, H S lucky Chief spokesperson CTCC, Gurbax Rawat, Harmail Kesri Spokespersons & Devinder Babla Leader of opposition in MC chandigarh. Addressing the conference Subhash chawla announced that the Congress party will peacefully march towards the residences of BJP councillors in the coming days starting from 28th of February at 4 pm. In the first place residences of Arun sood BJP President & councillor , Ravikant Sharma, Mayor & Sunita Dhawan councillor who all reside in Sector 37, chandigarh will be covered.  A protest letter along with a rose flower will be handed over to all the councillors demanding immediate rollback of the water tarrifs which have been increased manifold resulting in lot of financial burden on the common man who is already suffering due to steep price hike in all commodities of daily use. He added that the councillors will be asked to resign if they fail to get water tarrifs rollbacked. 

H S Lucky said that the Congress will create pressure on the BJP councillors to roll back water tarrif hike & if they fail so the residents of chandigarh will teach them a befitting lesson. Further more the Congress if voted to power will rollback the increased water tarrifs. Meanwhile an appointment with the Administator Chandigarh & Governor punjab V P Singh Badnore has been also sought in this context.

Gurbax Rawat gave details of the tarrifs increased by the Bjp led Municipal corporation

She said these were exorbitant in nature & needed to be rollbacked immediately 

Leader of opposition in MC chandigarh.

Devinder singh Babla listed the steps taken by the Congress councillors in MC House to oppose the said hike. He said apart from this agitation the Congress councillors will oppose each & every wrong doing of the BJP. 

Harmail Kesri said that the agitation will be peaceful & no offending slogans will be raised & complete Gandhigiri will be observed & full cooperation will be given to police authorities to maintain law & order.

The leaders also expressed their condolences on the sad demise of Sohan Lal father of Satish Kainth.
