Chandigarh 26th October:- Dhanuka Agritech Limited, India's leading agrochemicals company, has won the "Company of the Year" award at the 10th FIICI India Chem 2018 held in Mumbai. The award has been conferred for Dhanuka's efforts to promote agriculture sustainability and educate farmers in India on latest/modern techniques. P Raghavendra Rao, Secretary, Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Govt. of India gave the award to Dhanuka Agritech. 'India Chem', the largest annual event of the chemicals and petrochemicals industry in India, is jointly organized by Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, GOI and FICCI.
Dhanuka Agritech Ltd. is working towards achieving Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of doubling farmers' income by 2022. Over the past several years, it has conducted numerous seminars, "Krishak goshtis" and "Krishi Sammelans", to create awareness amongst the farmers about right usage of agrochemicals and modern farming methods. The seminars were organized in various parts of India, including Bikaner, Raipur, Shahjahanpur, Champaran and Hoshiarpur, among other places.
Dhanuka Agritech Ltd. also showcased several advanced products from its portfolio for the benefit of visitors at the India Chem exhibition and conference.
On the winning the prestigious award, R.G. Agarwal, Chairman, Dhanuka Agritech Ltd., said: "We are extremely happy and honoured to receive this award by FICCI. It is a testimony to the work we have done over the years to better the lot of farmers. Our company has taken multiple initiatives and has always worked upon providing best products with proper guidance of its usage to the farmers. Dhanuka Agritech Limited has adopted the Dhanuka Kheti Ki Nai Takneek (DKKNT) approach, which is focused on providing end-to-end farming solutions through training and educating farmers. With this, the company aims to minimize crop losses and improve yield with a focus on implementation processes such as soil testing, crop insurance, use of hybrid seeds, judicious use of agrochemicals and saving water etc.
