Oakridge International School Students organise Exhibition of Paintings and Photographs

Chandigarh 14th August:- Oakridge International School exhibited talents of art in photography of young photographers from 1st to 8th standard of school at Art Gallery of Sector -10 Chandigarh. Various kinds of paintings were showcased at the moment by budding artists. Students and teachers guided students to sharpen their skills to improve their skills in photography they were motivated to click photographs on City beautiful theme.

Sandeep Sahdev Senior Photographer graced the occasion as the chief guest and judge and selected the pictures in various categories.  He even mentioned that such platforms allow children in the early years to develop their passion in different fields. The team of Chandigarh Photography Club Navneet, Jagjit and Ms Rinku also motivated the children by coming and appreciating the efforts made by them.

The Director of Oakridge International School Abhishek Sharma expressed that the theme of the photos, 'City beautiful', was selected keeping in line the 50 years of Le Corbusier  and through this platform the knowledge and understanding was inculcated in the students.

While motivating the students Principal Ramanjit Ghuman said that in Oakridge International School holistic development of child is paramount. Art has a huge impact in an individual's growth, as an audience and as practitioner also. It can entertain, engage even allow for emotional experience that can impact an individual's personality and life too. She further informed that this art exhibition is an inspiration for the students to improve their skills as it  provides a platform to promote talent as such  exhibitions provide a highly flexible environment of learning .
