Independence Day Function at Parade Ground :Traffic Route Divert Near Parade Ground

Chandigarh 14^th August:- In view of the Independence Day Function at Parade Ground Sector 17, Chandigarh, the road stretch from round-about of Sector 16/17/22/23 upto small rotary near Gurdial Singh Petrol Pump, Sector 22-A on Udyog Path, from crossing sector 16/17 upto round-about of sector 16/17/22/23 on Jan Marg and from light point near Lyon's Restaurant Sector 17 upto Parade Ground, shall remain closed to general public with vehicles from 7.00 AM onwards on 15^th of August, till the function at parade Ground is over. No parking shall be allowed in the parking area infront of shops in market sector 22-A from 7.00 AM onwards till the function is over.

The VIPs and Senior Officers with authorized Car Parking Labels on their vehicles shall be allowed entry from the round-about of sector 16/17/22/23 on Udyog Path and they can park their vehicles in the parking area infront of the market sector 22-A.

The general public can park their vehicles in the parking area of sector 22-B adjacent to Blood Disease Hospital sector 23-B, on the rear side of Neelam Cinema Sector 17, in the parking of Football Stadium and in the Circus Ground Sector 17.

All the buses coming from Haryana, Punjab, HP and other places to ISBT Sector 17, Chandigarh shall be diverted towards ISBT Chowk from Bajwara Chowk and Piccadilly Chowk via Himalya Marg & enter ISBT Sector 17 from Small Chowk (near Gurdial Singh Petrol Pump).
