Chandigarh 23rd January:- Municipal Corporation Chandigarh has decided to awarded the President's Fire Service Medal for Gallantry on the occasion of Republic Day to Amandeep Singh, Fireman who laid down his life during fire fighting operations while fighting a major fire that occurred in NILET building, Sector 17, Chandigarh on 08.06.2014. The award has been given in recognition of his gallantry and sacrificing his life in the line of duty.The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh salutes him for his Gallantry and valor.
