Chandigarh 24th February:-- Riding high on the success of “Videocon Connect Super Jodi” Contest, Connect Broadband today staged the 1st round of Auditions for contestants at Elante Mall, Chandigarh. This two months long event opens doors for all contestants willing to showcase their talent and a chance to win exciting prizes in each round, with the winning couple getting an all expense paid luxurious foreign vacation. The event this year is supported by Videocon D2H, the fastest growing DTH operator in the fiercely competitive market. In the first two rounds, Ankita and Sushant as a Jodi qualified to the second round.
The response to the Mega Contest was particularly encouraging in the Tricity with more than 1000 people registered for first rounds of auditions across Punjab. Out of these, there were over 50 people who auditioned for the first two rounds held over the weekend at Elante Mall. Over the next 6 weeks, auditions will be held at Malls, Housing societies, Clubs etc.
Designed to signify the ‘CONNECTION’ between two people, this is a unique platform for couples to showcase their compatibility and talent. This year the contest will be conducted for young couples in the age group of 25 years to 35 years. Interesting and griping format of the contest will be spread over key cities of Punjab, mainly Jalandhar, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Bhatinda, Patiala and Tricity. In these towns interested couples will be selected from each city on the basis of their performance from local rounds. They will perform in second round to compete against finalists in each city for a slot in the grand finale.
Couples can participate in these cities at auditions to be held at housing societies, shopping malls, clubs and offices. The couples will be judged on the basis of their compatibility, unique talent and confidence. Two Couples will be selected from each audition round through on-ground activities by a panel of judges for the next round. Grand Finale shall see couples chosen across Punjab participating in the final contest, competing against each other for the grand prize.
