Ashmah School Celebrate Janmashtami

Mohali, 27th Aug:-- Ashmah International School, Mohali celebrated the festival of Krishna Janmashtami, the birthday of lord Krishna. Krishna is a unique character in Hindu mythology. He was naughty in his childhood days and later proved to be a philosopher.

 

The school was decked up with flowers, buntings and balloons and the swings were decorated tastefully. Some students attired themselves like Radha and Krishna, and gopies with beautiful smile on their faces. The celebrations started in the morning with two devotional renditions by the students. This was followed by a shloka, which sung by all students.

The programme commenced with 'Aarti' ceremony to Lord Krishna by the Principal, Mrs. R.Ghuman. Tiny-tots of K.G presented a beautiful dance form 'Govinda Ala Re' 'Bhajan Recital' performed by the younger students left the hearts of the audience spell bound. Another soul-touching dance formation was presented by the girls 'woh kisna hai'.

A speech was also delivered to explain the importance of 'Krishna Ashtmi' by the students  Showing the strong bond of friendship between 'Krishna and Sudama' a heartwarming skit was also performed, which  followed by traditional folk dance 'Madhuban Mai koi kanhiyaan'.

Principal, Mrs. R.Ghuman enlightened us to the origin of this celebration with her thoughts provoking lines 'Work is Worship'. Director of the School, Mr. J.S. Kesar (I.A.S. Retd.) appreciated the efforts of the staff and students.
