Chandigarh, Mar.09, 2026:--अंतरराष्ट्रीय महिला दिवस के अवसर पर आज कम्युनिटी सेंटर, सेक्टर-42, चंडीगढ़ में रोटरी क्लब, चंडीगढ़ एवं नेचर नाइन फाउंडेशन द्वारा "प्रोजेक्ट वृद्धि" के अंतर्गत सिलाई मशीन वितरण समारोह का आयोजन किया गया। कार्यक्रम का मुख्य उद्देश्य महिलाओं को आत्मनिर्भर बनाना तथा उन्हें स्वरोजगार के लिए प्रेरित करना रहा। इस अवसर पर मुख्य अतिथि रो. रवि प्रकाश (डी.जी., रोटरी मंडल 3080) की गरिमामयी उपस्थिति में 21 सिलाई मशीनें जरूरतमंद महिलाओं को वितरित की गईं, ताकि वे घर से ही कार्य कर अपने परिवार की आर्थिक स्थिति को सुदृढ़ बना सकें। इस मौके पर आभा शर्मा प्रेसिडेंट रोटरी क्लब चंडीगढ़, अरुण अग्रवाल सेक्रेटरी रोटरी क्लब चंडीगढ़ और नीरज सूद-नेचर नाइन फाउंडेशन से उपस्थित थे।

कार्यक्रम में पूर्व सीनियर डिप्टी मेयर जसबीर सिंह बंटी ने विशेष सहयोग प्रदान किया। इस अवसर पर उन्होंने कहा कि "हर घर रोजगार" की भावना के साथ आयोजित ऐसे कार्यक्रम समाज में सकारात्मक परिवर्तन लाने के साथ-साथ महिलाओं को आत्मनिर्भर बनने की दिशा में सशक्त करते हैं। वो आयोजकों का आभार प्रकट करते हैं, जिनके प्रयास की बदौलत यह जरूरतमंद महिलाएं आत्मसम्मान की जिंदगी जी सकेंगी। 

इस अवसर पर सफाई मित्रों को उनके समर्पण और सेवा भावना के लिए सम्मानित किया गया। वहीं वार्ड में सामाजिक कार्यों में सक्रिय महिलाओं को भी उनके उल्लेखनीय योगदान के लिए सम्मान प्रदान किया गया।

रोटरी क्लब द्वारा महिला सशक्तिकरण की दिशा में उठाया गया, यह सराहनीय कदम न केवल महिलाओं को रोजगार के अवसर प्रदान करेगा, बल्कि समाज में आत्मनिर्भरता और सम्मान के नए आयाम भी स्थापित करेगा।

PIB Chandigarh Journalists’ Delegation Visits CAZRI and AFRI in Jodhpur

Chandigarh, Mar.09, 2026:-A delegation of senior journalists organized by the Press Information Bureau (PIB), Chandigarh is on a tour of Rajasthan from March 8 to March 14. During this visit, on March 9 the delegation visited CAZRI and AFRI.

The delegation began its visit from the Central Arid Zone Research Institute (CAZRI). On this occasion, CAZRI Director Dr. Sureshpal Singh Tanwar informed that CAZRI is working for the development of agriculture in desert regions such as the Thar Desert and cold desert areas like Leh. The institute has carried out research in areas such as sand dune stabilization, management of natural resources, water management, horticulture, animal husbandry etc., and has developed several technologies. These technologies have been taken to villages and hamlets, due to which agricultural production in the region has increased and greenery has expanded.

Different varieties of Kharif and Rabi crops that grow with less water, low cost and minimal expenditure have been developed, which has increased production and enhanced the income of farmers. He said that an integrated farming system model has been developed in which grains, fruits, fodder, trees, medicinal plants etc. provide farmers with income throughout the year.

He said that CAZRI is playing an important role in achieving the Prime Minister's goal of doubling farmers' income. To promote the popularity of coarse grains globally, CAZRI is preparing various products from millets such as bajra biscuits, snacks and chocolates. Along with this, entrepreneurs from different states are also given training in the institute's laboratory to establish their start-ups. This is increasing farmers' income and through skill development positive changes are also coming in their standard of living.

He informed that agricultural scientists of CAZRI are also working on AI-based farming, smart water management and sustainable agricultural practices, with the objective of increasing crop production and addressing the challenges of climate change.

He also provided detailed information about the institute's research achievements and activities such as alternative fodder models, seed production of improved varieties, crop gardens, nutrition and animal feed related work. He informed that through the ATIC centre of the institute, farmers are provided healthy and quality saplings, plants and seeds.

Principal Scientist of CAZRI, P. R. Meghwal provided information about horticulture crops of arid regions such as ber, amla, pomegranate and date palm. He said that improved yields of various crops are being achieved through new technologies developed by CAZRI. Through this, farmers are getting help in increasing their agricultural income and farmers are starting their own start-ups after receiving training from CAZRI, which is promoting self-employment as well as skill development among entrepreneurs.

Principal Scientist of CAZRI Dr. Surendra Punia provided information about various solar energy plants and the agro-voltaic system, through which electricity, water and crop production are possible from the same land. Scientist Dr. Rajshekhar informed about the process of making biscuits and snacks from bajra and other coarse grains.

The delegation also visited the Arid Forest Research Institute (AFRI). On this occasion, AFRI Director Dr. Ashutosh Kumar Tripathi informed that AFRI is carrying out various works for the conservation and expansion of forests. He said that awareness regarding forest conservation is increasing in rural areas of Rajasthan and people are actively making efforts for it. AFRI is also taking several important initiatives to control desertification.

He said that AFRI is moving ahead with forest conservation and development works through various research activities using new technologies. Under soil conservation, information was also provided about the Forest Soil Health Cards issued by AFRI for the regions of Rajasthan, Gujarat and Dadra and Nagar Haveli.

Under extension programmes, AFRI is organizing nature awareness programmes, various training programmes and tree producer fairs to promote environmental awareness among farmers, the general public and schools. Tree plantation programmes in different states are also helping environmental conservation.

Senior Scientist 'G' of AFRI, Dr. Tarun Kant, while informing the PIB journalists' delegation about the activities of the institute, said that high quality shisham clones have been developed under AFRI's tree improvement programme. He also informed about the research conducted by AFRI on the mortality of khejri trees and its solutions. He also informed about the programmes being run by AFRI in the areas of rehabilitation of degraded hills, rehabilitation of saline land and sand dune stabilization.

Indian Forest Service officer Ramesh Vishnoi conducted the proceedings and also informed about the various activities of the department.

The journalists' delegation visited various research fields of CAZRI and AFRI and obtained information from scientists about agricultural technologies and innovations. At the end, Media and Communication Officers Ashish Verma and Ahmad Khan expressed their gratitude to the directors of the institutes and the entire staff.

New Delhi, Mar.08, 2026:-A confident Punjab FC will look to secure consecutive victories as they face NorthEast United FC, who are yet to win a game, in Match 28 of the Indian Super League 2025-26 on Monday, March 9, 2026 which will be played here at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. The match is scheduled to kick-off at 7:30 PM.

In their last fixture, Punjab FC secured a comfortable 2-0 victory against Bengaluru FC with Effiong Nsungusi scoring a brace while NorthEast United held Mumbai City FC to a 1-1 draw in their last fixture at Mumbai.

Speaking about the preparation for tomorrow's match, Punjab FC Head Coach Panagiotis Dilmperis said that we haven't changed anything in our preparation. We believe in a holistic training method that helps players develop their physical, technical, tactical and mental capacities. At the same time, we focus on certain things related to the opponent, which helps us prepare the players and the team for real game conditions. This improves decision-making and also strengthens their mental and emotional preparation.

The Shers are currently ninth in the table with three points from two matches while The Highlanders are one place below their opponents with two points from three matches.

Both teams have faced each other four times in the ISL with each team winning one game each and the other two matches ending in draws. In the latest encounter in January 2025, the match ended in a 1-1 draw with Alaaeddine Ajaraie and Khaimingthang Lhungdim scoring the goals.

चंडीगढ़ में डॉ. विक्रमजीत की पुस्तक “द फैंटेसी ऑफ डाइंग” का भव्य विमोचन

Chandigarh, Mar.08, 2026: -प्रख्यात लेखक डा. विक्रमजीत द्वारा लिखित विचारोत्तेजक पुस्तक "द फैंटेसी ऑफ डाइंग" का भव्य विमोचन रविवार को चंडीगढ़ प्रेस क्लब, सेक्टर-27 में आयोजित एक गरिमामयी समारोह के दौरान किया गया। कार्यक्रम में साहित्य, शिक्षा, चिकित्सा तथा सामाजिक क्षेत्रों से जुड़े अनेक प्रतिष्ठित व्यक्तियों ने भाग लिया और समारोह को यादगार बना दिया।

इस पुस्तक का औपचारिक विमोचन मुख्य अतिथि आईआरएस राकेश गोयल, चेयरमैन, रियल एस्टेट विनियामक प्राधिकरण (रेरा) द्वारा किया गया। इस अवसर पर उपस्थित विशिष्ट अतिथियों, साहित्य प्रेमियों और बुद्धिजीवियों ने लेखक को बधाई देते हुए कहा कि यह कृति जीवन और मृत्यु जैसे गूढ़ विषयों पर गहन चिंतन प्रस्तुत करती है।

"द फैंटेसी ऑफ डाइंग" जीवन और मृत्यु के दार्शनिक पहलुओं तथा मानवीय संवेदनाओं को नए दृष्टिकोण से प्रस्तुत करती है। पुस्तक पाठकों को आत्ममंथन के लिए प्रेरित करती है और जीवन के वास्तविक अर्थ को समझने की दिशा में सोचने का अवसर प्रदान करती है। यह कृति लेखक डॉ. विक्रमजीत के साहित्यिक सफर का एक महत्वपूर्ण पड़ाव मानी जा रही है। इस पुस्तक का प्रकाशन सेल्फीपेज डेवेलपर्स द्वारा किया गया है।

समारोह के दौरान जसविंदर बिट्टा ने स्वागत भाषण देते हुए लेखक डा. विक्रमजीत का परिचय कराया और मुख्य अतिथि सहित सभी गणमान्य अतिथियों का स्वागत किया। कार्यक्रम में राम तीर्थ जिंदल (सेवानिवृत्त भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा अधिकारी) ने भी अपने विचार साझा किए। पुस्तक की विषयवस्तु पर डा. सुखविंदर सिंह तथा प्रो.    अंशु जिंदल ने अपने संक्षिप्त लेकिन सारगर्भित विचार रखे।

इस अवसर पर डा. तजिंदर कौर धालीवाल, पूर्व अध्यक्ष पंजाब स्कूल एजुकेशन बोर्ड ने पुस्तक के विषय चयन की सराहना करते हुए कहा कि लेखक ने जीवन के अत्यंत संवेदनशील और दार्शनिक पहलू को सरल शब्दों में प्रस्तुत करने का साहसिक प्रयास किया है। वहीं मुख्य अतिथि राकेश गोयल ने अपने अनुभव साझा करते हुए कहा कि प्रकृति में भी कई जीव अपने अंतिम समय में ऐसे स्थान चुनते हैं जहां वे सुरक्षित रह सकें, यह जीवन और मृत्यु के रहस्य को समझने का एक अलग दृष्टिकोण प्रदान करता है।

कार्यक्रम के दौरान प्रश्न-उत्तर सत्र भी आयोजित किया गया, जिसमें डा. मदन मोहन बंसल, डा. ऐस के जिंदल और जिला योजना अधिकारी डा किरणदीप कौर सहित कई गणमान्य व्यक्तियों ने लेखक से संवाद किया। अंत में आयोजन समिति की ओर से सभी अतिथियों और उपस्थित जनों का आभार व्यक्त किया गया।

डा. विक्रमजीत ने बताया कि जीवन-शैली और साहित्यिक दृष्टि से भी यह पुस्तक विशेष महत्व रखती है। आज की तेज रफ्तार जीवनशैली में जहां लोग जीवन के गहरे प्रश्नों पर विचार करने के लिए समय कम निकाल पाते हैं, वहीं "द फैंटेसी ऑफ डाइंग" जैसी पुस्तकें पाठकों को ठहरकर सोचने के लिए प्रेरित करती हैं। यह कृति केवल दार्शनिक विमर्श ही नहीं करती बल्कि जीवन को अधिक संवेदनशील, संतुलित और सार्थक ढंग से जीने की प्रेरणा भी देती है।

Chandigarh, Mar.08, 2026:-अंतर्राष्ट्रीय महिला दिवस के अवसर पर आज चंडीगढ़ प्रदेश कांग्रेस कमेटी द्वारा रामदरबार कॉलोनी में महिलाओं के सम्मान में एक विशेष कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया। कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य समाज के विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में उल्लेखनीय योगदान देने वाली महिलाओं को सम्मानित करना और महिलाओं की भागीदारी, नेतृत्व क्षमता तथा उनके अधिकारों को लेकर जागरूकता बढ़ाना था।

इस कार्यक्रम का आयोजन ब्लॉक कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष सोनिया गुरचरण सिंह, प्रदेश सचिव बरिंदर राय तथा अन्य कांग्रेस नेताओं के सहयोग से किया गया। कार्यक्रम में बड़ी संख्या में स्थानीय महिलाओं और कांग्रेस कार्यकर्ताओं ने उत्साहपूर्वक भाग लिया।

लकी ने भाजपा सरकार पर निशाना साधते हुए कहा कि आज देश में महिलाओं की सुरक्षा, सम्मान और अधिकारों को लेकर गंभीर चिंताएं पैदा हो गई हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि एक ओर सरकार "नारी शक्ति" की बातें करती है, लेकिन दूसरी ओर महंगाई, बढ़ती बेरोजगारी और सामाजिक असुरक्षा का सबसे अधिक असर महिलाओं पर ही पड़ रहा है।

उन्होंने कहा कि कांग्रेस पार्टी हमेशा से महिलाओं के अधिकारों, समान अवसरों और उनके सशक्तिकरण के लिए प्रतिबद्ध रही है और भविष्य में भी महिलाओं के सम्मान और अधिकारों की रक्षा के लिए संघर्ष जारी रखेगी।

लकी ने कहा कि अंतर्राष्ट्रीय महिला दिवस केवल उत्सव का दिन नहीं बल्कि महिलाओं के संघर्ष, उनके योगदान और समाज में उनकी बराबरी की भागीदारी सुनिश्चित करने का संकल्प लेने का अवसर है।

कार्यक्रम के दौरान उपस्थित लोगों ने महिलाओं के सम्मान, सुरक्षा और अधिकारों की रक्षा के लिए निरंतर संघर्ष करने का संकल्प लिया।

Chandigarh, Mar.07, 2026:--मार्केट वेलफेयर एसोसिएशन (पंजीकृत), सेक्टर 44डी द्वारा श्री शिव कंवर महासंघ चैरिटेबल ट्रस्ट के सहयोग से मार्किट काम्प्लेक्स में 14वां रक्तदान एवं चिकित्सा शिविर आयोजित किया गया। कुल 79 स्वयंसेवकों ने रक्तदान किया और लगभग 150 से अधिक लोगों ने नियमित स्वास्थ्य जांच करवाई।

चंडीगढ़ नगर निगम के महापौर सौरभ जोशी मुख्य अतिथि थे और वरिष्ठ उप महापौर जसमनप्रीत सिंह ने समारोह की अध्यक्षता की। चंडीगढ़ व्यापार मंडल के चेयरमैन चरणजीव सिंह विशिष्ट अतिथि थे। महापौर सौरभ जोशी ने रक्तदान एवं चिकित्सा शिविर का उद्घाटन किया। 

एमडब्ल्यूए (पंजीकृत) के पदाधिकारी, अध्यक्ष अनिल वोहरा, अध्यक्ष विजय जौहरी, सलाहकार डॉ. गीता जोशी, वित्त सचिव दिलजीत ठुकराल, नरिंदर सिंह, अरविंदर सिंह, रमेश दुग्गल, संदीप धूपर, पुनीत मल्होत्रा और अन्य लोग रक्तदान शिविर में उपस्थित थे।

यूरोलॉजी, हृदयरोग, ओर्थपेडीक रोग और चिकित्सा में विशेषज्ञता प्राप्त प्रतिष्ठित डॉक्टरों ने चिकित्सा शिविर में आए सभी नागरिकों को निःशुल्क जांच सेवाएं प्रदान कीं। निःशुल्क रक्तचाप, शुगर, बीएम्डी और ईसीजी जांच भी की गई। संस्था द्वारा सभी के लिए लंगर का आयोजन किया गया था। 

अनिल वोहरा के अनुसार, मुख्य अतिथि सौरभ जोशी ने एमडब्ल्यूए (पंजीकृत) के सदस्यों और रक्तदाताओं को आशीर्वाद दिया। राष्ट्रीय मानवाधिकार एवं भ्रष्टाचार विरोधी बल के अध्यक्ष कमलजीत सिंह पंछी, राजन महाजन, परशोत्तम महाजन, प्रीतपाल सोढ़ी, हरजीत सिंह, नवदीप शर्मा, रजत मल्होत्रा, अनिल महाजन और हरमनप्रीत सिंह भी इस रक्तदान शिविर में उपस्थित थे।

अध्यक्ष अनिल वोहरा ने जरूरतमंदों की जान बचाने के लिए रक्तदान करने वाले सभी रक्तदाताओं का आभार व्यक्त किया। उन्होंने इस नेक कार्य में पूर्ण सहयोग देने के लिए श्री शिव कंवर महासंघ चैरिटेबल ट्रस्ट और पार्क अस्पताल को भी धन्यवाद दिया।

गांव ड्डूमाजरा में "खालसा गेम्स 2026" का आयोजन

Chandigarh, Mar.07, 2026:--गुरुद्वारा गुरु नानक दरबार साहिब सोसाइटी (पंजीकृत) गांव ड्डूमाजरा में होला-मोहल्ला के उपलक्ष्य में "खालसा गेम्स 2026" का आयोजन किया गया। जिसमें वार्ड नंबर 26 के प्रेसिडेंट हरजिंदर सिंह प्रिंस प्रोग्राम में बतौर अतिथि उपस्थित हुए। आयोजकों की ओर से हरजिंदर सिंह प्रिंस को सिरोपा पहनाकर सम्मानित किया गया। इस दौरान प्रतिभागियों ने एथलेटिक्स की  रेस, हर्डल रेस, गोला फेंक, रस्साकशी, और दौड़ जैसी विभिन्न पारम्परिक खेलों में अपनी खेल कौशल प्रतिभा का प्रदर्शन कर लोगों को आनंदित कर दिया।

गेम्स के दौरान लड़के और लड़कियों की श्रेणियों में खिलाड़ियों के लिए एथलेटिक्स स्पर्धाओं में विभिन्न प्रतियोगिताओं का आयोजन किया गया। जिनमें लड़कों की श्रेणी में 5 वर्ष तक की आयु के लिए, 50 मीटर दौड़, बाधा दौड़,  6 और 7 वर्ष की आयु के बच्चों के लिए 50 मीटर और 100 मीटर की दौड़,  8 से 10 वर्ष की आयु के बच्चे: 50 मीटर दौड़, 100 मीटर स्किपिंग दौड़ और बाधा दौड़,  11 से 14 वर्ष की आयु के लिए 100 मीटर, 200 मीटर, लंबी कूद, शॉट पुट और स्लो साइकिलिंग और 15 से 18 वर्ष की आयु के लिए 100 मीटर,  800 मीटर, लंबी कूद और शॉट पुट प्रतियोगिताओं में बच्चों ने अपना दमखम दिखाया। इस प्रकार लड़कियों की श्रेणी में 5 वर्ष तक की आयु के लिए, 50 मीटर दौड़, बाधा दौड़, 50 मीटर दौड़, 6 और 7 वर्ष की आयु के बच्चों के लिए 100 मीटर दौड़, 8 से 10 वर्ष की आयु के लिए 50 मीटर दौड़, 100 मीटर दौड़, नींबू और चम्मच दौड़ और स्किपिंग दौड़,   100 भीतन, 200 भी। नींबू और चम्मच दौड़ और स्किपिंग दौड़, ओपन कैटेगरी रेस 100 मीटर, 200 मीटर, शॉट पुट इत्यादि शामिल थी। इसके अलावा  महिलाओं की चाटीदौड़, म्यूजिकल चेयर्स 50 वर्ष से अधिक आयु वालों के लिए 1 किमी पैदल चलना बाबा बुद्धा दल गटका अखाड़ा की टीमों के जौहर और रस्साकशी(केवल ड्डूमाजरा के युवाओं के लिए) का भी आयोजन हुआ।

हरजिंदर सिंह प्रिंस ने समारोह के अंत मे प्रतिभा8 को पुरस्कृत भी किया और अपने सम्बोधन में बच्चों और युवाओं को नशे से दूर रहने के लिए कहा । हरजिंदर सिंह प्रिंस ने खालसाई गेम्स के सभी आयोजक सदस्यों को कार्यक्रम के सफल आयोजन के लिए दिल से धन्यवाद दिया।
