एशिया कप के भारत-पाकिस्तान मैच रद्द किए जाएं: कांग्रेस

Chandigarh, July 27, 2025:-चंडीगढ़ कांग्रेस ने भाजपा की केंद्र सरकार से आग्रह किया है कि वह सितंबर में होने वाले क्रिकेट एशिया कप के दौरान प्रस्तावित भारत-पाकिस्तान क्रिकेट मैचों को मंज़ूरी न दे, क्योंकि आतंकवाद और खेल एक साथ नहीं चल सकते।

मीडिया में इस आशय की आ रही खबरों, कि भारतीय क्रिकेट कंट्रोल बोर्ड (बीसीसीआई) भारत-पाकिस्तान क्रिकेट मैचों को किसी तटस्थ स्थान पर आयोजित करने पर सहमत हो गया है, पर चिन्ता व्यक्त करते हुए चण्डीगढ़ कांग्रेस के मुख्य प्रवक्ता राजीव शर्मा ने कहा कि चंडीगढ़ के लोग पाकिस्तान क्रिकेट बोर्ड के साथ किए गए इस ताजे समझौते से बेहद नाराज़ एवं व्यथित हैं। कांग्रेस प्रवक्ता ने कहा कि जहां एक ओर सरकार ने पाकिस्तानी आतंक के खिलाफ शुरू किए ऑपरेशन सिंदूर को अभी तक बंद नहीं किया है, वहीं दूसरी ओर दोनों देशों के क्रिकेट बोर्डों ने एक-दूसरे के साथ खेल संबंधों को बढ़ावा देने का फैसला किया है। इस बात पर दुख व्यक्त करते हुए कि जब पहलगाम का एक भी कातिल अभी तक पकड़ा नहीं गया है, कांग्रेस प्रवक्ता ने सवाल उठाया कि ऐसे हालात में भारत सरकार और क्रिकेट बोर्ड सिर्फ़ कुछ धन कमाने के लिए पाकिस्तान के साथ मैच कैसे करवा सकते हैं। यह बताते हुए कि दोनों देशों के बीच मैच के दौरान, भारतीय प्रायोजकों द्वारा निवेश की गई एक बड़ी राशि दिवालिया हो चुके पाकिस्तानी क्रिकेट बोर्ड के खजाने में भी जाएगी, कांग्रेस  प्रवक्ता ने अंदेशा ज़ाहिर किया कि पाकिस्तान इस धनराशि इस्तेमाल भारत में नए आतंकी हमलों को अंजाम देने के लिए भी कर सकता है। उन्होंने ज़ोर देकर कहा कि बीसीसीआई को ऐसा कुछ नहीं करना चाहिए जिससे पाकिस्तान की हमारे देश पर हमला करने की क्षमता बढ़े। 

कांग्रेस प्रवक्ता ने पाकिस्तान को खुश करने के लिए तटस्थ स्थल पर मैच आयोजित करने के औचित्य पर भी सवाल उठाया, जबकि भारत को सभी मैचों की मेजबानी का अधिकार है।

कांग्रेस प्रवक्ता ने आगे कहा कि भारतीय क्रिकेट बोर्ड का पाकिस्तान के साथ मैच आयोजित करने का फैसला चंडीगढ़ और भारत के लोगों का अपमान है। उन्होंने स्थानीय सांसद से इस मुद्दे को संसद में उठाने का आग्रह किया।

इस बीच चण्डीगढ़ कांग्रेस ने राष्ट्रीय हित के इस महत्वपूर्ण मामले पर चुप्पी साधने के लिए यूटी क्रिकेट ऐसोसिएशन चण्डीगढ़ के अध्यक्ष और अन्य पदाधिकारियों की निंदा की और कहा कि उनकी चुप्पी यह दर्शाती है कि उन्हें राष्ट्रीय गरिमा और स्वाभिमान से समझौता करने में कोई हिचकिचाहट नहीं है।

Mohali, July 27, 2025:-- फोर्टिस अस्पताल मोहाली के गैस्ट्रोएंटरोलॉजी और हेपेटोलॉजी विभाग ने ऑटोइम्यून हेपेटाइटिस के मरीजों के लिए फर्स्ट लाइन थेरेपी के रूप में मायकोफेनोलेट मोफेटिल (एमएमएफ) नामक नई दवा को लेकर जागरूकता फैलाने का कार्य शुरू किया है। ऑटोइम्यून हेपेटाइटिस एक कम जाना-पहचाना लेकिन गंभीर और दीर्घकालिक लिवर रोग है, जो यदि समय पर इलाज न हो तो लिवर सिरोसिस, लिवर फेलियर और यहां तक कि लिवर कैंसर का कारण बन सकता है।

विश्व हेपेटाइटिस दिवस हर साल 28 जुलाई को मनाया जाता है। विश्व हेपेटाइटिस दिवस-2025 की थीम है: "हेपेटाइटिस: लेट्स ब्रेक इट डाउन"।

विश्व हेपेटाइटिस दिवस के मौके पर जानकारी देते हुए, डॉ. अरविंद साहनी, डायरेक्टर, गैस्ट्रोएंटरोलॉजी और हेपेटोलॉजी, फोर्टिस अस्पताल, मोहाली ने बताया कि वायरल हेपेटाइटिस के विपरीत, ऑटोइम्यून हेपेटाइटिस (एआईएच) शरीर की अपनी प्रतिरक्षा प्रणाली द्वारा लिवर कोशिकाओं पर हमला करने से होता है। यह बीमारी महिलाओं में अधिक सामान्य है, हालांकि पुरुष भी इससे प्रभावित हो सकते हैं। इसका प्रकोप विशेष रूप से बचपन, किशोरावस्था और 40 से 60 वर्ष की आयु के वयस्कों में देखा जाता है। प्रति लाख जनसंख्या पर 1.3 की दर से होने वाला यह रोग अक्सर पहचान में नहीं आता। चिंताजनक बात यह है कि लगभग एक-तिहाई मरीजों में निदान के समय तक रोग लिवर के उन्नत चरणों में पहुँच चुका होता है।

डॉ. साहनी ने बताया कि इस रोग के लक्षण हल्के से लेकर गंभीर तक हो सकते हैं, और यह वायरल हेपेटाइटिस या दवा-जनित लिवर चोट की नकल कर सकता है। मरीजों में थकान, पीलिया, पैरों में सूजन, पेट में पानी भरना, आंतों से खून आना, मासिक धर्म में अनियमितता और तंत्रिका संबंधी लक्षण देखे जा सकते हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि हेपाटोमेगली (लिवर का बढ़ जाना) भी एक सामान्य लक्षण है।

उन्होंने कहा कि इस रोग की पहचान के लिए विशेष ब्लड टेस्ट किए जाते हैं, जिनमें लिवर फंक्शन और ऑटोइम्यून मार्कर जैसे कि एंटी-न्यूक्लियर एंटीबॉडी और स्मूथ मसल एंटीबॉडी शामिल हैं। पुष्टि के लिए लिवर बायोप्सी आवश्यक होती है।

उन्होंने बताया कि ऑटोइम्यून हेपेटाइटिस के लिए आजीवन इम्यूनोसप्रेसिव (प्रतिरक्षा दमन करने वाले) इलाज की आवश्यकता होती है, जिसमें स्टेरॉयड और एजाथायोप्रिन शामिल हैं। हाल ही में मायकोफेनोलेट मोफेटिल (एमएमएफ) नामक दवा को इस रोग के लिए प्राथमिक उपचार के रूप में स्वीकृति दी गई है। एमएमएफ पारंपरिक दवाओं जैसे एजाथायोप्रिन की तुलना में अधिक प्रभावी है और इसे मरीज अधिक आसानी से सहन कर सकते हैं। हालांकि, यह गर्भावस्था के दौरान वर्जित है क्योंकि इससे भ्रूण को नुकसान हो सकता है। डॉ. साहनी ने बताया कि जिन मामलों में सिरोसिस बढ़ चुका हो, वहां लिवर ट्रांसप्लांट की आवश्यकता पड़ सकती है। संयोगवश, एमएमएफ का उपयोग किडनी और लिवर ट्रांसप्लांट प्राप्तकर्ताओं में भी किया जाता है।

डॉ. साहनी ने जोर देते हुए कहा कि ऑटोइम्यून हेपेटाइटिस के प्रति जागरूकता बेहद आवश्यक है। यह भले ही वायरल हेपेटाइटिस से कम सामान्य हो, लेकिन समय पर पहचान और सही इलाज न मिलने पर यह अधिक खतरनाक हो सकता है। एमएमएफ जैसी नई थैरेपी से समय रहते उपचार शुरू करने पर मरीजों के स्वास्थ्य परिणामों में उल्लेखनीय सुधार संभव है।

50 Young Underprivileged Girls Vaccinated against Cervical Cancer

Mohali, July 26, 2027:--A Free Cervical Cancer Vaccination Drive for Economically Weaker Section girls was conducted by The Touch Clinic in Association with Rotary – AOGIN (Asia Oceania Research Organization in Genital Infection & Neoplasia) and Rotary Club Chandigarh at Mohali's The Touch Clinic.

The vaccination drive which was a major step toward preventive women's healthcare, took place under the expert stewardship of Dr Preeti Jindal, Director The Touch Clinic, Mohali; Senior Consultant Gynaecologist, IVF Specialist, High Risk Pregnancy expert and Robotic Surgeon. Fifty (50) girls from Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) benefitted from the camp.

Dr. Preeti Jindal stated that prevention is the most powerful tool we have in healthcare. Through this initiative, our aim is to ensure that even the most underserved girls in our community get access to this life-saving vaccine. Every girl deserves protection from a cancer that can be stopped before it starts.

Dr Preeti Jindal held the drive under a social initiative of the clinic. Dr Preeti provided a vaccine which normally costs Rs. 4000 free of cost to the needy girls.

Dr Preeti informed that cervical cancer which occurs in the lower part of the uterus, called the cervix, is the second most common cancer in Indian women, with more than 120,000 new cases each year. She added that tragically, India accounts for nearly a third of all cervical cancer deaths globally.

Dr Preeti further said that the good news is that there is now an HPV vaccine available that protects against the virus and helps prevent cervical cancer. This vaccine works best when given to girls between the ages of 9 to 14, ideally before they become sexually active. Doctors and the government now strongly recommend this vaccine for young girls to build protection early.

Notably, the Human Papillomavirus (HPV), a common viral infection, is responsible for almost all cases of cervical cancer. It is pertinent to state here that the HPV vaccine offers effective protection against the most dangerous strains of the virus. When administered before exposure (typically in adolescence), it can reduce the risk of cervical cancer by up to 90%.

Unfortunately, due to lack of awareness and financial challenges, many girls from poor families are not able to get this vaccine. That's why it's important for doctors, NGOs, and responsible citizens to come together and provide free or low-cost vaccination for these children. In this regard, The Touch Clinic has set an example worth emulating by other health service providers.

Meanwhile, this vaccination drive was a step toward achieving India's vision of eliminating cervical cancer by 2030, in line with WHO targets. It also demonstrated how committed collaboration between healthcare providers and community organizations can lead to lasting impact.

India Reports 1.75 Lakh New cases of Head & Neck Cancers Every Year: Dr Vijay Jagad

Dr ( Brig) Harinderpal Singh said that 30 lakh people in India suffer from cancer, of which 14 lakh are new cases with cancer claiming 9.10 lakh lives each year in India. Talking about head & neck cancer he said that it is a form of cancer, which is largely driven by our lifestyle choices & addiction to betel nut-chewing, tobacco and alcohol consumption, maintaining poor oral hygiene.

With lifestyle tweaks and by avoiding tobacco, head & neck cancer can be prevented. In India which is the world capital of head and neck cancer, the focus should be on prevention and early detection as well.

Trident Limited Announces Financial Results for the First Quarter of FY 25-26

Chandigarh July 26, 2025:--Trident Limited, while releasing its financial results for the first quarter of the financial year 2025-26 (ended June 30, 2025), said that the company has increased sales and profit, along with a reduction in net debt.
The company's Consolidated Revenue for the quarter stood at INR 1727 Crore. Consolidated EBIDTA for the quarter stood at INR 312 Crore, up 18.12% QoQ and 29.85% YoY. Consolidated Net Profit for the quarter stood at INR 140 Crore, up 4.89% QoQ and up 89.39% YoY and Net Debt stands at INR 879 Crore on June 30, 2025 as compared to INR 910 Crore as on March 31, 2025, thus a reduction of 31 Crore.
Commenting on the results, Deepak Nanda, Managing Director, Trident Limited, said that as we reflect on Trident Limited's Q1FY26 results, it's evident that amidst challenging macroeconomic conditions, our company has showcased quarter-on-quarter growth in terms of profitability, We have further strengthened our balance sheet by reducing net debt by INR 31 Crore and sustaining our Debt Equity Ratio at 0.35. 3 Day Workshop on ‘Audio Visual Teaching Aids’ Held at Government College of Education, Chandigarh

Chandigarh 26 July, 2025:-The Skill–In–Teaching Committee of Government College of Education, Sector 20-D, Chandigarh successfully organized a three-day workshop on 'Audio Visual Teaching Aids' from July 23 to July 25, 2025. The event was conducted under the dynamic leadership of Principal Dr. Sapna Nanda and the able coordination of Dr. Meena, Coordinator of the Skill–In–Teaching Committee. The workshop aimed at equipping future educators with practical competencies to use a variety of audio-visual tools and techniques in their teaching practices. With the goal of making classroom instruction more interactive, engaging, and learner-centered, the sessions focused on integrating audio-visual teaching aids across multiple school subjects.

The event witnessed the gracious presence and contribution of eminent educationists and subject experts. Among the distinguished speakers were Dr. Navneet Kad, Assistant State Project Director (Quality Education), who shared insights into the role of digital tools in achieving quality education benchmarks; Kirandeep Singh, a National Award-winning Mathematics Teacher, who demonstrated innovative and practical use of low-cost teaching aids in Mathematics classrooms; Jeesu Jaskanwar Singh, Head of the Department of Education, Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), Panjab University, who emphasized the importance of media literacy and technology integration in teacher education and Professor M.S. CGC Jhanjeri, Mohali Observes Sri Akhand Path Sahib on its 14th Foundation Day

The bhog ceremony was performed with collective Ardas for knowledge, unity, and continuous progress. President Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal and MD Arsh Dhaliwal initiated the academic session with a prayer at the feet of the Almighty, along with the faculty and staff. करोड़पति 78 साल की वृद्ध महिला को उसके एकलौते बेटे ने घर से निकाला

Mohali, July 26, 2025:-मोहाली के खरड़ शहर में रिश्तों को तार-तार करने वाली एक घटना सामने आई है, जिसमें 78 साल की वृद्ध मां, जो करोड़ों की मालकिन है, ने अपने एकलौते बेटे पर गंभीर आरोप लगाए हैं। आरोप है कि संपत्ति हड़पने के इरादे से बेटे ने उसे घर से बाहर निकाल दिया, जिसके कारण मां अब दर-दर की ठोकरें खाने के लिए मजबूर है। मां द्वारा इंसाफ के लिए सरकार के दर पर जाने के बावजूद कोई उसकी बात सुनने को तैयार नहीं है।

आज यहां मोहाली प्रेस क्लब में एक प्रेस कांफ्रेंस दौरान अपनी पीड़ा सुनाते हुए पीड़ित महिला श्रीमती परमजीत कौर ग्रेवाल, पति पूर्व सीनियर ऑफिसर स्वः चरणजीत सिंह ग्रेवाल ने बताया कि हमने अपने बेटे को पढ़ा-लिखाकर इंजीनियर बनाया और अपनी करोड़ों रुपयों की संपत्ति बेचकर खरड़ में ही उसे एक निजी स्कूल खोलकर उसे पैरों पर खड़ा किया।

उन्होंने बताया कि मैं और मेरा बेटा सिमरनप्रीत सिंह ग्रेवाल, पति के निधन के बाद परिवार की 50-50 फीसदी संपत्ति के मालिक थे। जबकि मेरा बेटा सिमरनप्रीत सिंह ग्रेवाल पिछले 10-12 सालों से सारी संपत्ति अपने नाम करने के लिए मुझे लगातार तंग कर रहा था। मेरे द्वारा नाम न करने पर, उसने स्कूल को अपग्रेड करने के बहाने, मुझे मजबूर करते हुए जबरदस्ती साइन करवाकर मेरे हिस्से की संपत्ति 30 वर्षों के लिए लीज पर, पचास हजार रुपये सालाना किराए देने पर, अपने नाम करवा ली और दोनों पति-पत्नी खुद मालिक बन गए। उन्होंने बताया कि इसके बाद, वह, अपनी बेटी से मिलने के लिए विदेश चली गई तो जब वह वापस आई तो घर के आगे खड़े सुरक्षा गार्ड ने, मेरे बेटे के कहने पर घर के अंदर प्रवेश नहीं करने दिया। यहाँ तक कि घर की ताले आदि भी बदल दिए।

उन्होंने अपना दुख साझा करते हुए बताया कि स्कूल की आय में से एक भी पैसा नहीं दिया और मुझे अपना गुजारा करना भी मुश्किल है। उन्होंने कहा कि आखिर बेटियाँ ही माँ-बाप का सहारा बनती हैं और वह उसके पास चली गई। उन्होंने आगे कहा कि वह और उसकी बेटी पिछले चार महीनों से इंसाफ लेने के लिए एस.डी.एम. खरड़, पंजाब महिला आयोग और उप पुलिस कप्तान खरड़ को लिखित अपीलें कर चुकी हैं, पर कई महीनों बीत जाने के बावजूद भी हमें इंसाफ नहीं मिला। उन्होंने कहा कि आखिर उनके पास प्रेस के सामने आकर अपना दुख-दर्द सार्वजनिक करने के अलावा कोई चारा नहीं बचा।

उन्होंने पंजाब के मुख्यमंत्री भगवंत सिंह मान, डीजीपी पंजाब और डीसी मोहाली से अपील की है कि उन्हें इंसाफ दिलाते हुए उनके घर का कब्जा दिया जाए।

जब परमजीत कौर ग्रेवाल के पुत्र सिमरनप्रीत सिंह ग्रेवाल से बातचीत की तो उन्होंने अपना पक्ष बताते हुए कहा कि माता अपनी मर्जी से घर छोड़कर गई है, क्योंकि उनकी एक मात्र बहन की उनके परिवार में नाजायज दखलअंदाजी है, जिस कारण रिश्तों में दरार पैदा हुई है। उन्होंने अपनी बहन पर आरोप लगाते हुए कहा कि उसने अपनी माता को अपने हक में कर के बेगोवाल गांव में 10 किल्ले कृषि योग्य जमीन और चंडीगढ़ में एक फ्लैट पहले ही हड़प लिया है और अब उसकी नजर हमारे आवासीय घर और स्कूल को हड़पने की है। उन्होंने स्पष्ट कहा कि न ही उसने अपनी मां को घर से बाहर निकाला है और न ही घर में प्रवेश से रोका है। वे जब चाहे घर आ सकते हैं लेकिन उन्होंने अपनी बहन को घर में प्रवेश से रोका है।

Chandigarh, July 26, 2025:-Around 50 bariatric surgery patients took part in Max Hospital, Mohali weight loss champions meet here today. During the occasion, the patients shared their inspiring transformational journeys from being obese to healthy people post successful bariatric surgery at Max .

Mohar Singh, a bariatric surgery patient, had some significant health concerns, including difficulty in breathing, fatty liver and restricted mobility due to increased weight. His self-esteem plummeted. He dreaded social situations and felt ashamed and undeserving. Then he decided to get weight loss surgery and change his life for the better as well.

Another bariatric surgery patient Jagdeep Kaur, said that if you saw me two years ago, it's not the woman that's in front of you right now — she was like 30 years older than I am. She further said that is when she said she needs to do something about her weight and health, because it's not only her arthritis, it's not only her swelling, it's something deeper. That moment was when she said enough is enough. She needs to be proactive because it's her health.

Jayant Trehan said that he has been dealing with his weight for so many years. Half of his life, he has been dealing with that, but he did not understand.

Aisiree Debbarma exclaim that sure, she was overweight, but she never let that hold her back. She was always seeing people and being social. Then all of a sudden she was so isolated and anxious. In the back of her mind she was thinking, she needs to be like she was before. She needs to get back to being herself, but it looks just so difficult, but believe me bariatric surgery at Max Hospital made it so easy that now she can live her normal life with enjoyment and pride.
