Chandigarh Feb. 04, 2021:- ओंकार चैरिटेबल ट्रस्ट चण्डीगढ़ ने गुरु का लंगर आई हॉस्पिटल और तेरा ही तेरा मिशन हॉस्पिटल में इस्तेमाल होने वाले मेडिकल उपकरण और दवाईयां इत्यादि भेंट किए। ओंकार ट्रस्ट के चेयरमैन रविन्द्र सिंह बिल्ला ने यह मेडिकल उपकरण और दवाईयां तेरा ही तेरा मिशन हॉस्पिटल और गुरु का लंगर आई हॉस्पिटल के संचालक हरजीत सिंह सभरवाल को सौंपे। इस अवसर पर ट्रस्ट के सदस्य भी उपस्थित थे। उपकरण में ई सी जी किट्स, ई सी जी टूल किट्स, स्टेशनरी, एडवांस्ड स्टेथोस्कोप, कोविड़ टेबल शील्ड, कोविड़ फेस शील्ड और सैनिटाइजर इत्यादि आइटम्स शामिल थी।

हॉस्पिटल की प्रबंधक जसप्रीत कौर ने ओंकार ट्रस्ट का आभार जताते हुए कहा कि हॉस्पिटल में इस्तेमाल होने वाले यह उपकरण काफी फायदेमंद हैऔर गरीब वर्ग से आने वाले पेशेंट्स के लिए यह उपयोगी साबित होंगे ।

      रविंदर सिंह बिल्ला ने कहा कि उनके ट्रस्ट द्वारा ये कार्य सी एस आर के अंतर्गत किया गया है। सामाजिक हित के कार्य उनकी ट्रस्ट द्वारा निकट भविष्य में भी किये जाते रहेंगे।

40 Opposition Parties Leaders, Workers Join Party

Chandigarh Feb. 04, 2021:- As many as 40 leaders and workers from different opposition political parties joined Congress in the presence of Punjab Health Minister, Balbir Singh Sidhu and Amarjeet Singh Jeeti Sidhu at a function held at Guru Nanak market, phase 1, Mohali on Wednesday.  

Prominent among those who joined Congress are ; Rakesh Kumar Rinku  a senior Akali leader and President of Guru Nanak Market, phase 1 , Rajinder Singh Bhullar, Shamsher Singh, Parminder Singh, Vijay Pal, Nika Ram, Jatin Rajpal, Manjit Singh, Mikku, Charanjit Singh Saini and Jaswinder Singh Kaka,

During the occasion, Suman Garg, Cong candidates from ward no 47, Ravinder Singh from ward no 46 and Meena Kaundal from ward no 45 were also present.

Speaking during the occasion, Balbir Sidhu said that MC elections are directly related to Mohali development. So it's become a responsibility of the public to examine candidates' capabilities to perform according to their expectations. It's the duty of the public to vote and elect those councilors who can work tireless and honestly for general interest and not for their own personal gains. Thus it's the public who have to differentiate rationally between paid candidates and those who can work for you and your betterment, he asserted.

Seeking support for Suman Garg , Ravinder Singh and Meena Kaundal, Sidhu said that these are involved in social service from long and known in their respective area for their dedication towards work. Even Ravinder who is contesting for the first time is doing public service for a long time.

These kind of dedicated candidates if elected as your councilors would have only one agenda to work for the welfare of people and not for their own vested interest.

Targeting rivals, Sidhu said that in elections there is no opposition against Congress.  He said, Congress is the only party which has put up a united face in MC elections. On the other side the oppositions are like 'Khichdi' where some went on one side and some on other sides. 

Lambasting Kulwant Singh for switching loyalties for personal gains, Sidhu said that on seeing that SAD would get no support from the public due to farmers' agitation, he again switched his loyalties.

Chitkara International School Launches Multilingual Communication System

यूपीईएस ने शैक्षणिक वर्ष 2021 में छात्राओं के लिये 20 प्रतिशत छात्रवृत्ति की घोषणा की

Chandigarh Feb. 04, 2021:- कक्षा 12 के बाद उच्च शिक्षा जारी रखने के लिये ज्यादा से ज्यादा छात्राओं को प्रोत्साहित करने के लक्ष्य के साथ, यूपीईएस ने साल 2020 में शुरू किए गए अपने स्‍कॉलरशिप प्रोग्राम को जारी रखा है। शैक्षणिक वर्ष 2021 के लिये यूपीईएस ने लड़कियों के लिये 20 प्रतिशत छात्रवृत्ति की घोषणा की है। पिछले वर्ष स्‍कॉलरशिप प्रोग्राम से पूरे भारत की 1300 छात्राओं को लाभ हुआ था और उन्हें आर्थिक सहायता के माध्यम से गुणवत्तापूर्ण उच्च शिक्षा मिली थी।

अपनी महिला सशक्तिकरण पहल 'शक्ति' के माध्यम से यूपीईएस 'क्लासरूम से बोर्डरूम' की यात्रा के लिये ज्यादा से ज्यादा छात्राओं को प्रोत्साहित करने और विभिन्न सेक्टरों में महिला लीडर्स को तैयार करने का प्रयास करता है। पिछले वर्ष इस यूनिवर्सिटी को उत्तर प्रदेश, उत्तराखण्ड, बिहार, हरियाणा, महाराष्ट्र और झारखण्ड से आने वाली छात्राओं और उनके परिवारों से बहुत अच्छा रिस्‍पॉन्‍स मिला था। उनमें से अधिकांश ने कंप्यूटर साइंस एंड इंजीनियरिंग, हेल्थ साइंस, डिजाइन और बिजनेस में अंडर-ग्रेजुएट और पोस्ट-ग्रेजुएट प्रोग्राम्स चुने थे।

CII Shares Agenda for Accelerating Growth with Adviser to UT Administrator

Chandigarh Feb. 04, 2021:- CII calls for Greater Chandigarh Region Planning Board in line with NCR Planning Board for overall development of Chandigarh Tricity and coordination amongst the respective governments, said Dr S P S Grewal, while interacting with Manoj Parida, Adviser to Administrator, UT Chandigarh yesterday at UT Secretariat. The National Capital Region Planning Board Act was enacted in 1985 with the concurrence of the participating states of Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. The rationale behind this was to promote balanced and harmonized development of the Region, and to avoid any haphazard development.

Dr S P S Grewal said that Prime Minister of India has set a target for Indian economy to attain USD 5 trillion benchmark by the year 2024-25. To attain this target, the UT of Chandigarh also needs to grow in tandem with the national economy or may be even at a much higher rate of growth compared to national average. In this backdrop, CII is of the view that UT Chandigarh can become USD 15 billion economy by the year 2024-25.

Greater Chandigarh Region, i.e., incorporating all the bordering districts while preparing any futuristic plan in consultation with Government of Punjab and Haryana will help in overall development of the Region and facilitate in positioning Chandigarh Region as preferred investment & business destination.  This will certainly help in achieving the goal of USD 15 billion or may be over passing it.

Dr S P S Grewal also called for taking up of the flyover project at the earliest. CII is of the view that flyover should be constructed till Zirakpur for smooth flow of traffic looking in future growth of motor vehicles in and around Chandigarh.  Administration along with the State Governments of Punjab and Haryana may work to construct outer ring roads to restrict entry of transit vehicles. To check vehicular pollution, CII also urged for E-vehicle Policy for UT. CII will reach out to members companies for their interest to put up charging infrastructure in the city.
