The major demands raised by the teachers include:

Issuance of CGHS cards to Chandigarh teachers and employees as per Central Government norms, renewal of contract and release pending salary SSA teachers/Employees

The Teacher Union alleged that genuine files concerning teachers are being unnecessarily delayed by unwarranted objections, adversely affecting the functioning of schools and the morale of employees.

The teachers’ union clarified that the protest will be completely peaceful and democratic and urged the Chandigarh Administration to resolve the pending issues immediately to avoid further escalation.
