Furthermore, a series of panel discussions, keynote addresses, and networking sessions led the way in addressing key proposals related to international education, student mobility, faculty exchange, and collaborative research, marking a significant step toward fostering global educational partnerships.
Law Minister Arjun Meghwal Urges Integration of Human Consciousness with Modern Technology in Legal Systems
While welcoming the delegates, Sanjay Tandon, President, Competent Foundation while emphasising the 3S - Samay (Time), Sehat (Health) and Sambandh (Relations) philosophy of Justice Punchhi said that we are deeply honored to continue the legacy of Late Hon'ble Justice Madan Mohan Punchhi through this timely discussion. We are sure that this event will provide a much-needed opportunity to explore how the legal system can evolve to effectively address the challenges of AI while ensuring justice and equity.
The lecture was addressed by Chief Guest Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal and Guest of Honour Hon'ble Mr. Justice Arun Palli, Judge, Punjab & Haryana High Court as both speakers provided invaluable insights into the implications of AI for the legal sector and broader society.
Arjun Meghwal discussed the importance of a robust legal framework to address the ethical, regulatory and governance challenges presented by AI technologies. Citing the example of noted educator Ishwar Chander Vidyasagar, he emphasized on maintaining the chord of liberty, fraternity and equality in the present era. "We have entered the age of Industry 4.0 and we cannot go back from this stage. The need of the hour to evolve with modern tools but with the human consciousness' said the law minister.
Justice Arun Palli's address focused on the judicial perspective, highlighting the existing legal tools available to tackle the challenges posed by AI as well as the potential gaps that need to be addressed. He underscored the importance of adapting the legal system to accommodate the rapid growth of AI technologies while ensuring fairness, transparency and accountability in their use.
Legal author Shruti Bedi emphasized that AI could help address India's backlog of over 4.5 crore pending cases. Drawing inspiration from countries like China and Estonia, she highlighted how AI could streamline judicial processes, improving efficiency in case management, legal research and overall court proceedings.
The event highlighted lively discussions among attendees with many expressing concern over the ethical dilemmas presented by AI and the need for clearer regulations. The delegates engaged in a thoughtful exchange of ideas on how to strike a balance between technological advancement and safeguarding fundamental rights.
In his vote of thanks, Senior Advocate Pawan Mutneja expressed gratitude to all the distinguished speakers and attendees, emphasizing the importance of continued dialogue on AI's role in the legal system. He concluded by stressing the need for collaborative efforts to ensure that technology serves justice while preserving ethical values.

The School was alight with the smiles and giggles of the new students along with their parents and grandparents. During the orientation program the new comers were introduced to the institution profile, infrastructure, rich faculty experiment and the exciting world of education audio visual aids & presentations. While new Beginning of life started, Children enjoyed their welcome Party. They were shown movies related to studies and their favourite cartoons. They learned values through these movies and helped to improve their listening skills.
Director Manav Singla later, discussed the personality traits. She emphasized the importance of positive attitude, dedication, commitment and discipline. He added that students should aim high to achieve the chosen positive goal of life. According to him the school offers a right blend of traditional and modern cultural, academic and professional opportunities for overall development of its students.
Neelam Singla also presided over the function and wished the students All the Best on joining the school and blessed them to acquire the best education and become a progressive and responsible citizen for the nation and mankind.

10th Annual Athletic Meet organized at Govt. College of Yoga Education & Health
The Programme commenced with the inauguration of the meet by unfurling the college flag by the Chief Guest Ms. Prerna Puri, IAS, Education Secretary, Chandigarh Administration and was followed by march past and oath taking ceremony by the athletes. While addressing the guests & students she shared her insight about the significance of sports in life and motivated them for the whole-hearted participation.
In the morning session, various events like 50 metre race, Three-Legged Race, Long Jump, Shot Put, Discus Throw were performed by students with great zeal. In afternoon, in addition to these athletic events, the college organized various fun games and activities such as wheel & Barrow Race, Thread and Needle Race, Lemon and Spoon Race, Tug of War, Musical Chair etc, Staff and Students for promoting teamwork, camaraderie and sportsmanship and everyone enjoyed above mentioned adventures games immensely.
Dr. Richa Rathee, Additional Director Higher Education, Chandigarh Administration was the Chief Guest for the Valedictory Ceremony. She gave away the prizes to the winners and congratulated them for their enthusiastic performance. Nitin Thakur was declared the best athlete (Boys) and Maphi was declared as the best athlete (Girls).
Dr. Sumant Batish read Annual Sports Report and highlighted the students glorious achievements at various levels. Vote of thanks was delivered by Sh. Rajiv Uppal senior faculty member of the college and the event concluded with the National Anthem.
