Chandigarh July 16, 2021:- The Chandigarh Territorial Congress Committee today held a meeting at Rajiv Gandhi Congress Bhawan sector 35 chandigarh, which was attended by around 200 leaders and activists of the party and presided by Subhash Chawla President CTCC.
According to H S Lucky Chief spokesperson CTCC it was decided that congressmen from all over the city will gather in front of Nehru Park Sector 22 and will sit on dharna under the leadership of Pawan Bansal former union minister and treasurer AICC. Congress activists will carry placards and party flags to oppose the everyday increasing prices of petrol, diesel & other commodities.
Subhash Chawla President CTCC informed the gathering that 31 protests took place during the last 10 days in which around 10000 people participated and tomorrow is the last day of congress party's nationwide protest. He criticized the central government for failure to check the ever rising prices. The common man who is already facing so much hardship due to the corona pandemic and ever rising prices of the essential commodities is the worst hit because of the rising petrol, diesel & other commodities prices. The government must immediately roll back the rising prices. It was the opinion of the Congress leaders otherwise the party was left with no option but to raise the concerns of common man through protest & dharnas.
