AAP Seeks Resignation of Mayor, BJP President for Suspending Afternoon Water Supply

By 121 News

Chandigarh July 16, 2021:- Political parties have started besieging the BJP on the issue of suspending the afternoon water supply for the people of the city. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Chander Mukhi Sharma said that the leaders of the BJP lack leadership acumen. BJP leaders themselves are confused and it is beyond comprehension what they want to do. On one hand, in the name of smart city, MC plans to  take a loan of Rs 500 crore to provide 24 hours water supply to the city, while on the other hand, now the municipal corporation has suspended the water supply in order to save money. If the Municipal Corporation only wants to save money, then why are crores of rupees being spent on 24 hours water supply plans that too by taking a loan from the other country.

Chander Mukhi Sharma said that due to wrong policies of BJP, the burden on common people is increasing. The corporation is putting the burden of tax on the public to meet its wasteful expenditure. Chander Mukhi Sharma said that from the MP to the administration and the corporation, its BJP led people are everywhere, but there is a lack of co-ordination among themselves. The local MP should get the administration to compensate for the losses of the corporation, so that the residents of the city are not deprived of basic facilities. For this the MP has completely failed.

Chander Mukhi Sharma said that the Municipal Corporation has taken the decision to stop the afternoon water supply only and only to save money, that's why he has  demanded the resignation of the Mayor and BJP State President Arun Sood. The BJP very tactfully keeping in mind the coming Muncipal Corporation elections has deferred the increased water tariff rates till March next year. The administration has also refused to give this fund to the Municipal Corporation. Therefore, the municipal corporation suspended the afternoon water supply. The corporation's reasoning behind this is that by discontinuing the afternoon supply to them, Rs 14 crore will be saved annually.
