Budget has Nothing for the People of Haryana Apart from Disappointment: Kumari Selja

By 121 News

Chandigarh March 12, 2021:- Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee, President, Kumari Selja has termed the budget 2021-22 presented by Chief Minister as a fraud with the people of the state. She said that this budget is only a budget juggling data. After the Corona epidemic, the economic condition of the people of Haryana is extremely poor. People had high expectations from this budget, but it has nothing for the people of Haryana apart from disappointment. The government is only working to push the state into debt.

Kumari Selja said that the increase in old age pension by the Haryana government is an insult to the elderly. The peoples involved in the government had promised in their manifesto that the pension to the old age persons would be given Rs 5100 per month, but after the formation of the government, it was said that the pension would be increased by Rs 250 per year. But what has been announced now is also a hoax with the people of Haryana. The increase made by the government will come into effect from the month of April 2021.  This means that the increase will not be applicable in the months of January, February and March this year.

Kumari Selja said that the promises made in the last 6 years have not been fulfilled till date.  The per capita income in the state has also decreased. Besides the budget for education sector has also been reduced.

Kumari Selja said that while presenting the budget, Chief Minister Manohar Lal said that the government had borrowed a loan of Rs 30,000 crore. The Chief Minister should tell where all this money has been spent. Due to the failure of this government, the state's debt is continuously increasing today. In the 48 years from the year 1966 to 2014, the loan, which was Rs 70000 crore on the state has reached to Rs 2,29,976 crore in this government. In this government, the debt on Haryana is increasing rapidly, which shows the failures of this government.

Kumari Selja said that the people of the state hoped that they will get some relief in this budget. They hoped that the government will give some relief to them by reducing tax on petrol and diesel, but there is nothing in this budget to give relief from inflation. She added that the law and order situation in Haryana is deteriorating and women are living in fear. No concrete steps have been taken in the budget to improve law and order in the state.
