Chandigarh August 11, 2020:-Members of Chandigarh Traders Association, Sector 17 assembled in the market near office of Chandigarh Smart City LTD, Sector 17 Chandigarh. A cleanliness drive was organized under the Presidentship of Sh. Kamaljit Singh Panchhi with the help of sanitation staff of Municipal Corporation Chandigarh.
During the drive K S Panchhi said they have taken the initiative after Narendra Modi, our Prime Minister gave asked us to observe a week-long campaign "Uncleanliness, Out from India" (Gandgi Bharat Chhoro) till Independence Day in commemoration of the attainment of Swaraj following the Quit India campaign.
K S Panchhi further said that this gesture of cleanliness is our small contribution towards 'uncleanliness out from India' campaign and our duty to serve our country by keeping it clean which will help to fight Covid-19.
K S Panchhi appeals to all the members of Market Welfare Associations and Residents Welfare Associations of the city to guide people not to throw any garbage or waste material on the roads and streets and use the dustbins.
