Doon International School celebrates birth anniversary of Subhash Chandra Bose

Mohali 23rd January:- Students of Doon International School celebrated Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose birth anniversary .The Students turned up in the army dress worn by freedom fighter Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose to mark his birth anniversary on their school premises. At this occasion, quiz based on the life and achievement of Subhash Chandra Bose was organised for classes 1-10. The students enthusiastically participated in it.Later, students also delivered inspirational speech on the life of neta ji .Inspirational program was including skits and dance was also staged at the moment. Students from senior section participated enthusiastically in the essay writing and biography competitions.

The school Principal, Manjit Madra encouraged students to understand the sacrifice of the freedom fighter and emulate his ideals. According to her these competitions were basically to make the children of this era know at least something about our freedom fighters. She further informed though Mahatma Gandhi and Netaji chose different paths for attaining freedom but the aim was common and it was to get political freedom, social justice and economic freedom for the people of the country.
