MCM College Organise Rangoli competition

Chandigarh 24th  September:--- To uphold the importance of the most creative art of Indian Culture the Home Science Deptt. Of MCM DAV College for Women, Chd organized a Talent Hunt in Rangoli. The competition which is held annually, is not only a search for the creative hands but also has a unique underlying objective of inculcating in the girls those qualities as would help them to be successful not only at the work front but in her home as well. Thus it is another endeavor of the college towards producing women of substance.

 

The competition that saw a huge participation, showcased a surfeit of colorful drawings and exquisite designing. The competition lent a traditional feel to the ambience as the girls etched some marvelous designs while experimenting with colors and shapes.

 

In rangoli competetion Mansi got first position while Himani, vanshika got second position. Third position went to saavi. Rashi, Navita and Ashmeet got consolation prizes. The winners were all smiles as they bagged the prizes for their flair. The exceptional creativity of the students was praised by one and all.

 

The Principal of the college Dr. Puneet Bedi congratulated the winners and appreciated the spirit of participation shown by the students. She impressed upon the students the importance of following our traditions and culture and enriching it by adopting values that are an exceptional balance of traditional heritage and contemporary trends.
