Hundreds of Students Visit Mega Canadian Education Fair

Chandigarh 15th September:-- Twenty One Canadian Colleges and Universities shared information with 300 prospective students in the Mega Canadian Education Fair which took place in Chandigarh today. The Canadian Higher Education Fair was organised by Charms Education & Immigration Services Pvt. Ltd.

Top heads of recruitment of Canadian Institutes like Mr. Peter Ashby,Director of Admissions,Columbia College,Vancouver , British Columbia; Ms Alex Dimas, Student Recruitment Coordinator,Kwantlen Polytechnic University, Surrey , British Columbia; Dr Bill Mucklow, Indian Liaison, Grant MacEwan University, Edmonton , Alberta; Ms Monika Saini, Manager Recruitment, Cambrian College, Sudbury , Ontario among others were present. The event provided a real time opportunity to students to enroll for the Jan and May 2014 academic session.  According to Ms. Alex Dimas, Student Recruitment Coordinator, Kwantlen Polytechnic University, "I have visited countries like Mexico and USA but the experience in India vis-a-vis some other nation's i have been to for recruitment has been quite encouraging. I feel that students here are serious, come prepared with mark sheets and are clear about the course they want to pursue. What's more, they appear eager and ambitious too."

The fair was instrumental in helping students realize their dream for a quality Canadian education. According to Rahul Paitka, MD, Charms Education & Immigration Services Pvt. Ltd that the fair today made a good impact. Many students came and got their queries answered. We will assist and provide admission and visa guidance to students who have registered for various programmes here. The courses in which students showed a lot of keenness were Business, Design, Science and Engineering etc. Some unique courses in Horticulture and Arts like Bachelors in Criminology, Psychology and Journalism too came up as areas of interest.

Information on scholarships for meritorious students was shared with students. Some special offers for students who enrolled for the next intake were made. Many Institutes offered application fee waiver, on the spot admissions, assessments etc. Even parents of students planning to immigrate to Canada for higher education saw the kind of higher education infrastructure available in Canada. In a nutshell the fair offered all Canadian Higher Education facilities and information under one roof.  The fair will now be held in Ludhiana on Sep 16 and Jalandhar on Sep 17.
