Mohali, Apr.13, 2026:-Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology, Phase 2, Mohali, organized its annual inter-college tech-fest, 'Gyan Byte 2026', with great enthusiasm. Students from 17 different colleges participated in this technical fair, demonstrating their innovation, creativity, and technical skills. The main highlights of this year's fest were ideas based on Artificial Intelligence and digital solutions.
Five major competitions were held during the fest: Meme the Machine, Lights-Camera-Innovate, Debug the Bug, Build-a-Bot, and Web Warriors. The enthusiasm and competitive spirit among the students were remarkable in every event. In the 'Build-a-Bot' competition, teams from Rayat Bahra University, Gian Jyoti, and PGGC Sector 11 presented advanced robotics models. Students from CGC University, Gian Jyoti, and GCCBA Sector 50 showed expertise in solving technical problems. Meanwhile, Rayat Bahra University teams dominated the web designing segment. Teams from GGDSD and IET Bhaddal captivated everyone with their creativity, while Khalsa College and Doaba Group of Colleges presented fresh ideas through impressive storytelling.
Encouraging the students, J.S. Bedi, Chairman of Gian Jyoti Group of Institutions, said that such platforms inspire students to adopt creative thinking and connect with new technologies. Addressing the students, Director Dr. Aneet Bedi emphasized that innovative thinking alongside technical expertise is essential in today’s era. Events like Gyan Byte help students prepare for future industry needs and enable them to face modern challenges. The event concluded with the distribution of trophies and prizes to the winners.
