Mohali, February 25, 2025:-Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology, Phase 2 celebrated Matribhasha Diwas with an insightful session on the Implementation of Multilingualism at its campus. This session was organized in collaboration with the Institute's Innovation Council. The event aimed to highlight the significance of linguistic diversity in academia and society. It provided a dynamic platform for faculty and students to engage in meaningful discussions on the role of multilingualism in education, career advancement, and cultural preservation.
Over 50 students and 7 faculty members actively participated in the session, sharing their perspectives on how embracing multiple languages can enhance cognitive abilities, broaden career opportunities, and promote inclusivity in the modern world. The interactive session successfully reinforced the importance of preserving and promoting mother tongues while also appreciating the power of multilingualism in global communication.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Aneet Bedi, Director, GJIMT, emphasized the need to preserve and promote linguistic diversity. She further added that Languages are not just a means of communication. they are a reflection of our heritage, culture, and identity. In a rapidly globalizing world, the ability to embrace multiple languages opens doors to greater understanding, stronger connections, and better career prospects. At GJIMT, we encourage our students to value and uphold the richness of their mother tongues while also embracing global languages for academic and professional success.
The event concluded with an interactive session where students and faculty shared their perspectives on multilingualism and its role in shaping a more inclusive and interconnected society.
