Chandigarh, November 28, 2024:--Bakery Day was a delightful celebration at Chandigarh Institute of Hotel Management Sector 42 D, Chandigarh. Honouring the artistry and dedication of bakers, the event featured an exciting lineup of activities, including baking workshops, live demonstrations, and tasting sessions, offering attendees a unique opportunity to witness the expertise of renowned bakers.
The event began with warm greetings from the anchors, followed by the introduction of distinguished guests. Chef Sanjeev Verma, a culinary expert with over 35 years of experience and owner of Pashtun Restaurant, was introduced first. Other honoured guests included Chef Sandeep Kumar, Executive Pastry Chef at Palji Group, Chef Arun Deep Singh, winner of Sanjeev Kapoor's K Kitchen Khiladi, Chef Vandana Gupta, cake artist and TV show winner, Chef Neelu Kaura, a celebrated celebrity chef, and Chef Vinod Sidhu, the pioneer behind Polka Bakery.
The event also featured several baking demonstrations. Chef Vandana Gupta showcased her skills in making a delectable Banoffee Pie, followed by Chef Vinod Sidhu's expert demonstration on chocolate truffle icing. Chef Sandeep Kumar wowed the audience with his creative fondant art techniques, while Chef Arun Deep Singh demonstrated the preparation of delightful lemon crinkle cookies. Lastly, Chef Nellu Kaura shared her secrets to preparing a Christmas special focaccia bread.
As the event concluded, the Principal, Vishal Kalia, presented tokens of appreciation to the chefs. The day ended with a heartfelt thank you to all attendees, and the National Anthem was played to mark the occasion's conclusion. Bakery Day was a true celebration of passion, creativity, imagination and the culinary arts.
