Chandigarh, Sept.13, 2024:--Punjab Cricket Club beat Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association by 9 wickets in 29th All india JP Atray Cricket Tournament played here today at PCA Stadium, Mohali.The 2nd match of the day was to be played at Mahajan Cricket Ground, Chandigarh between Indian Railways & Rann Star Cricket Club, Delhi was called off due to rain & wet outfield.The both teams shared 2-2 point each.
Batting first Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association scored 148 runs ( revised scored as per penalty) all out in allotted 28 overs.Shauraya Sharan Scored brilliantly knock of 58 runs in 76 balls , Ritwiz scored 23 runs, Prashant Tomar scored 11 runs & Rohit Thakur scored 11 runs.for bowling side pcc bowlers Manan Vashisht & Simranjit Singh both claimed 3-3 wickets each.Madhav Pathania claimed 2 wickets & Vasu claimed 1 wicket.
Chasing the target Punjab Cricket Club achieved the target 149 runs in 25.1 overs with the loss of only 1 wickets.PCC wins the match by 9.wickets. opener batsman Sahaj Dhawan brilliantly unbeaten knock of 85 runs in 87 balls including 5 sixes & 6 fours & Vishwa Pratap quickfire knock 61 runs in 63 balls .for bowling side HPCA bowler Rohit Thakur claimed 1 wicket..
Sahaj Dhawan ( 85 not out runs )of PCC was declared Man of the Match .Sh.Daljit Singh was chief Guest & Distribute the Man of the match award to Sahaj Dhawan of PCC.
