Amway India Partners with SRF Foundation to Celebrate World Health Day Building Awareness on Nutrition and Hygiene Practices

Chandigarh, April 08, 2022: Amway India, one of the country's leading entrepreneur-led FMCG direct selling companies, joined hands with SRF Foundation in Nuh, Haryana for an exclusive program highlighting the importance of nutrition for a healthy living. Aligned with this year's World Health Day theme of 'Our Planet, Our Health', the company conducted interactive and educational initiatives to improve nutritional knowledge, well-being along with hygiene practices.

In Nuh, Amway recently launched the second phase of its globally renowned Power of 5 campaign to address malnutrition in children under the age of six. Commemorating World Health Day, the company launched a recipe book comprising simple, yet effective nutritious recipes shared by mothers and caregivers in the villages under the program. The event also witnessed an engaging play performed by Poshan Mitras in the region spotlighting cooking hygiene. The act focused on raising awareness of important basic nutrition and WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) practices amongst the larger community in the villages. The event was graced by Mr. Sandeep Singh Rajput, Senior Medical Officer, Nuh, Haryana.

The company has been scaling up its globally renowned Power of 5 programs in India using grassroots-level interventions along with new innovations to address childhood malnutrition. Amway also recently launched an innovative micronutrient supplement - Nutrilite Little Bits™ –providing daily essential vitamins and minerals to help manage micronutrient deficiency such as anemia. With this, Amway aims to increase its reach to over 2,00,000 people including 46,000 children in India.
