Desh Bhagat Ayurvedic College and Hospital Organises a Physiotherapy Webinar

Chandigarh July 10, 2021:-  To mark the 25yrs Silver Jubilee Celebrations of DBAC&H, Desh Bhagat Ayurvedic College & Hospital is organized a Physiotherapy Webinar. Learning the novel approaches of post-stroke shoulder rehabilitation through Physiotherapy is the major goal of today's webinar. Guest Speaker Dr.Divya Midha shared her vast clinical experience and knowledge about the topic. 

Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University Dr. Zora Singh congratulated the entire faculty and students of DBAC & H for the successful completion of 25yrs. Dr. Zora Singh appreciated and Thanked Dr. Divya Midha for sharing her vast clinical knowledge and experience with the Students and the faculty members to help them understand the importance that Physiotherapy holds in the treatment of Post Stroke Hemiplegic shoulder. Students of Physiotherapy, BAMS, the Teaching Faculty of DBAC&H, and DBU participated in the webinar with full enthusiasm.

Guest speaker Dr. Divya Midha is a BPT and MPT Neuro and senior research fellow of Ph.D. from Punjabi University, Patiala. She said Rehabilitation/ Physiotherapy is of paramount importance to make a stroke survivor live a normal life. Dr. Divya shared her recovered patient's testimonies about the benefit that Physiotherapy treatment has provided, which gives students a deep insight into the treatment. Treatment of Post-stroke hemiplegic shoulder is one of the common challenges faced by physiotherapists. A variety of approaches have been used by physiotherapists to tackle post-stroke hemiplegic shoulder.

Pro-Chancellor of DBU Dr. Tajinder Kaur expressed her quest to provide medical care with professionalism and dedication. The Rehabilitative approach of Physiotherapy in treating the patient as a whole makes this science a wonderful option in various disorders where recovery gets slowed down and the patient is in an immobilized state.

Dr.Tajinder Kaur appreciated Dr.Divya Midha's efforts in the field of Neuro Physiotherapy and thanked her for accepting the invitation to share her wisdom and vast experience about the topic.
