Chandigarh July 19, 2021:-Adviser Dharam Pal visited under construction New Secretariat Building Sector 9 today alongwith FS-cum-Secy. Engg., CE-cum-Spl. Secy. (Engg.) and Chief Architect .
The Adviser reviewed the progress of work at site. It was explained during the site visit that building is proposed to be constructed having Five Star Griha Rating having plot area 2.63 acre with total covered area 214816 sq ft. The building has G+6 floors having provision of Administrator office, Adviser to the Administrator office, Home Secretary & Finance Secretary offices, Additional Secretaries offices, Multipurpose Hall, Conference Hall, Gym, Post office, Sampark Centre including parking of 78 cars & 76 T/W.
The building is planned as an energy efficient building to house all the departments at a single location. The Adviser to has directed to complete the building on priority basis.
