Chandigarh June 08, 2021:-The chandigarh Territorial Congress Committee today held a virtual meeting and decided that the Congress party will hold protest dharna on 11th of June in front of petrol pumps in Sector 21 chandigarh from 4 to 6 pm against the rising prices of petrol and diesel . The meeting was presided by Subhash Chawla President CTCC & many senior leaders participated in the meeting.
According to H S Lucky Chief spokesperson CTCC it was decided that congressmen from all over the city will gather in front of the petrol pumps in Sector 21 and carry placards to oppose the everyday increasing prices of petrol and diesel.
President Subhash Chawla criticised the central government for failure to check the prices. The common man who is already facing so much of hardship due to corona pandemic and ever rising prices of the essential commodities is the worst hit because of the rising petrol and diesel prices, he added. The government must immediately rollback the rising prices it was the opinion of the Congress leaders otherwise the party was left with no option but to raise the concerns of common man through protest & dharnas.
