Chandigarh March 20, 2021:- With an aim to capture the common man's outlook on the Punjab government, ABPNetwork-CVoter revealed the findings of a special, comprehensive survey. Conducted alongside research partner CVoter (Centre for Voting Opinion & Trends in Election Research), the ABPNetwork-CVoter Survey has provided a clearer picture of the citizens' standpoint on various pertinent issues & concerns associated with the current Punjab government, as it completes 4 years in power.
As per the findings of the survey, if Punjab elections were to be held in 2021, AAP would lead with 36.5% votes (51-57 seats) followed by INC with 31.5% votes (43-49 seats).
According to the survey conducted in Punjab, 40.9% respondents believe that unemployment would be the main issue in Punjab Assembly Elections next year, whereas 19.3% said issues related to agriculture would take the front seat.
When asked, 'Will the farmers' agitation affect Punjab elections? If yes, who will be benefited the most out of it?' 29.5% of the people responded that AAP would be benefitted the most, followed by 26.0% who said INC would be benefitted the most.
Furthermore, 76.8% respondents believed that the demand of the farmers in Punjab was justified, whereas 13.5% disagreed and remaining 9.7% couldn't decide.
On whether Congress has been able to control the drug terror in Punjab, 59.7% respondents said 'No', 18.6% said 'Yes' and 21.7% said 'Can't Say'.
What's more is that, ABP Network-CVoter had also conducted a survey Uttarakhand which revealed that if Uttarakhand elections were to be held in 2021, INC would lead with 40.8% votes (32-38 seats), with a close competition from BJP with 38.3% votes (24-30 seats).
As for the methodology & survey details, the total sample size of the ABPNetwork-CVoter survey for Punjab was 4,328 with a margin of error: .+_- 3% / +_- 5% and 2,554 for Uttarakhand with a margin of error: .+_- 3% / +_- 5%. It was conducted through CATI (Telephonic survey).
