Chandigarh Jan. 23, 2021:- The campus of Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Sector 26, Chandigarh resounded with a melodious rendition of Gurbani Kirtan as the students and staff celebrated the College Sthapana Diwas on January 23, 2021. The event marked the commemoration of the birth anniversary of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. On the occasion, the Bhog of Sehaj Paath, which commenced at the beginning of the session 2020-2021, was conducted. Gurmat Vichar on the life of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji was delivered by Bhai Rajinder Singh Ji of Gurdwara Shri Dhanna Bhagat, Mohali. The Kirtan was performed by Bhai Lakhwinder Singh Ji (Chandigarh wale).
S. Gurdev Singh (I.A.S. Retd.) President, S.E.S, S. Col.(Retd.) J.S. Bala, Secretary, S.E.S. and S. Karandeep Singh Cheema Joint Secretary, S.E.S. graced the occasion and appreciated the efforts of Principal, Dr. Jatinder Kaur, and incharges of Gurmat Vichar Sabha of the College, Mrs. Sukhmeen Kaur and Dr. Surinder Kaur for successfully organizing the function and following strict safety measures during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The programme culminated with Guru ka Langar.
