Chandigarh Dec. 14, 2020:- An awareness program on understanding various types of disabilities and to mobilize support for the dignity, rights and well being of persons with the ailment was organized at Desh Bhagat Ayurvedic College & Hospital of Desh Bhagat University for the students of BAMS and Physiotherapy.
Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor DBU said that we should extend a hand of care and help to people with disabilities and for that it is important to understand disabilities that are not immediately apparent such as mental illness, chronic pain or fatigue, sight or hearing impairments, diabetes, brain injuries, neurological defects and cognitive dysfunctions.
Various speakers from different areas participated in the program and shared their expert advice about strengthening collective efforts for universal access to essential services, including immediate health and social protection, education, digital infrastructure, accessible information, employment and other socio- cultural opportunities for persons with disabilities.
Dr.Kulbushan Vashisht, Director, Desh Bhagat Ayurvedic College & Hospital, Dr.Satya Deo Pandey, Principal Desh Bhagat Ayurvedic College & Hospital, Dr.Anil Joshi, Dr.Harender Singh, Psychiatrist, Dr.Simranjit Kaur, Physiotherapist, Dr.Nitin Sharma, MD Panchkarma explained various therapies for cure.
